  1. Thanks, I know that, but it has nothing to do with my catching skills. It's just a bug. I tried it on the same toon about an hour ago and I caught every keg getting thrown at me without any problems.Yesterday it was impossible for me (and other people trying) - leads to the assumption that there is something completely wrong with that quest.
  2. Something seems to be wrong here. I did this quest about a week or two with no trouble at all at catching the kegs. I just stood in the red circle and got the keg.Today I'm trying this for 15 minutes straight and can't catch a single keg. Anyone has an idea what the reason could be?
  3. It is a problem. It's an ability that is able to kill a full toughness build in a single action. And in case you missed it. GW2 isn't a duel arena where all options are available 100% of the time and there is the issue with "culling" of skills existent. It doesn't help at all that in theory you can see "the warrior kneeling down" if he doesn't because the animation is bugged or the server decides to hide that information from you.This gets even worse when stealth classes are involved. Just cut the damage, delete damage modifiers and balance out the game between glass cannon builds, tank builds, condi builds and healing builds. At the moment there is two things that work. Massive power creep from glass cannons that aren't because they have access to invulnerables, stealth, etc. and one tank build with great damage aka boon ranger.
  4. You mean like 90% of the matchups you have as a necro? In any case it doesn't justify damage spikes like that from Killshot, Death's Judgement, Worldly Impact, Churning Earth, etc.
  5. This solution isn't one. You can tank up, but that it doesn't increase your chances to win that encounter. It just makes it longer. In the end you don't deal enough damage yourself to kill that opponent, while you still die.I experimented a lot with core necro and reaper over the last days with going full condi tank - which is the only real option for being "tanky" on a necro. In most cases I died in the end, because I wasn't able to reset fights at will like my opponents were and lost the game due to attrition vs. power classesthe other class had more access to boons than I had to corruptsit has more condi cleanse than I have condi applicationor a sum of the above.It's way more realistic for winning not to tank up, but go full power on the necro specs than trying to tank something.And yes, that's terrible game design when it's all about who deals more damage because it not decided by skill but "who has more access to invul, protection or anything to avoid those 10k+ hits." edit:And people, please stop arguing with "dodge this" or "dodge that". Dodges are limited for a reason. It's a mechanic meant to be used for skills that cannot be avoided otherwise. It's not meant to be used against autohits that one shot you. If you dodge a autohit you are already dead because you wasted your most valuable option to avoid the big unblockable damage incoming.That's not how the game works. Yes, you should dodge a kill shot, but you can't dodge the kill shot, the bulls charge and the following knockback from rifle (example). And that's the reason why the balancing is so terrible. There is way too much damage in that game and way to less options to avoid it after Anet handed out unblockables and damage modifiers like candy.
  6. Nothing in this game is telegraphed thanks to culling - which was allegedly removed some time ago. Weird thing is that so many animations don't load properly or not at all and you get hit out of nowhere.
  7. Ok, after working for some time since yesterday it's there again.Based on tracert there seems to be an issue between my provider and Anet.
  8. Ok, I'm not 100% what fixed it. But latest step I tried was changing DNS servers (ipv4 and ipv6) to google dns adresses. Changing authserver with -authsrv command did not help.

Yes, bows are still around and are still used for hunting over rifles. Which means there are practical applications of Bows or Crossbows in the world, while there is not a single one for high heels in a fantasy world.I can live with them existing, but we don't need more of those but less. I really could see getting a lot more sandals or boots and especially more skirts, kilts, etc.
  12. I could live with high heels getting deleted. It's the worst design idea in games ever. No woman with a brain wears those for "fun" and especially not in a permanent combat environment.
  13. In DAoC, the original WvW, stealth classes could spec to see other stealth classes. Higher spec, further vision. This would be a great thief mechanic imho. No, that would be a great mechanic for everyone else. It makes no sense to give the counter for a class to that same class.

  15. How does it make sense to reroll just because..? We are talking balance here not jumping on the FotM train. Making engineer easier to access is ok, but shouldn't be forced because it hardcounters thieves or stealth mechanics.The problem is that there is no real counter to the stealth mechanic except for revealed and revealed is not available to many builds.Anything else in this game is much more easy to counter.

We both know that a stealth disruptor trap isn't the topic here and it never influenced the gameplay of stealth classes in a negative way, right?Stealth on the other hand is really bad designed and it shouldn't be as strong as it is. And when you build your thief dependent on stealth you are at no disadvantage and never were. While that's completely the opposite when you start building a necro around stealth detection and depend on the old death shroud. Your only use is to have a revealed while you still are a completely inferior build.No thief build around stealth is per se inferior, even with stealth disruptor traps existing for over three years now. So, please don't derail the topic or start arguing on a constructive way if you can.
  17. Stealth traps were a real terrible idea to begin with. A stationary "trap" vs. high mobile gameplay can't be something worth thinking about. It additionally forces you to carry supplies around all the time.I'm roaming for over five years now and I think the stealth trap never saved me ever. If you want those to be useful, make it cost half supply and give it a root that can't be broken with blink/shadowstep/etc. - it still would be a bad design. I really think there should be a skill based counterplay to permanent stealthing which doesn't force you to play a completely useless build.
  18. Based on the fact that Anet is either happy with the application and usage of stealth in GW2 or unable to change and balance it why not give revealed to more classes and builds. It makes absolutely no sense to have revealed on builds that aren't viable in any of the game modes (like core necro).Why not give every of the classes with no direct access to stealth at least an option to disrupt stealther a bit more easy.Make it a utility skill as you did for Spellbreaker or Ranger. At the moment stealth is completely ridiculous if you want to fight small scale groups. With the introduction of Sniper and their option to remove revealed it's gotten even worse.There needs to be an effective counterplay.
  19. Scourge is weak n small scale. It's so easy to kill them. In zerg it's great because fields and protection from frontline. I don't know how you want to balance this without balancing all the classes in wvw - including making condis weaker, gutting resistance and lowering power damage.
