  1. I think ele just needs permanent pet/ summon.. especially skills with staff takes a long time to trigger damage. I don’t think elementalist should be face tanking mobs... it’s a mage class why can’t ANet make it strong enough that can kill monster before it reaches their face. If you make the damage not so strong then at least give elementalist a permanent pet to tank for them while they channel and cast whatever skill at back line. In GW1 you can play elementalist casting at back line without worries because you can always put a tank in your team to tank for you.. GW2 nope.. nothing tanking for elementalist so staff is literally useless if you solo. And they try to fix this problem by introducing the sword so elementalist can get even closer to mobs and melee lol. Please rework the staff to instant cast and instant damage if you don’t wanna give elementalist a permanent tank.I really want to enjoy elementalist with staff and have been waiting for years for ANet to do something about staff and pet..but guess it’s never gonna happen...
  2. Two questions:Why would you want a purposely cut-down version of the game? Mobile gaming inherently forces simpler mechanics, controls, and game design compared to the existing PC version.Why would Arenanet want to put the resources required to remake the entire game from ground up for said cut-down version? They were recently down-sized and are already dealing with the perception of having trouble putting out "enough" fulfilling content for the current game. I was simply suggesting that since BDO have mobile version available now and also D4 is coming on mobile device perhaps we can have GW3 on APP store (so you don’t have to worry about comparing with existing PC aversion). Hopefully ANet won’t make the same mistake like Riot that refuses to make mobile version until it’s too late. As far as I know nobody is complaining or comparing BDOM with BDO. Making a mobile version of the game simply allows the game to attract more types of players. As for your questions... Any smart company would know mobile market is where the money is now. Not everyone owns a computer nowadays but everyone have a smart phone. ;) and if they listen to this advice maybe they won’t hav to be downsized. Yes the mobile version may be cut down version of the game but players gets to play the games anywhere they want. Either on the subway on their way home or during their lunch break... etc. Instead of having to wait all day until they’re done with school or work to sit in front of computer to play for few hrs before bed time. Do you have any idea how much money some of the top FREE games are making? We are talking about billions of dollars so please do some researches man...lol

As for the stats I feel like using any piece that only gives 3 stats even for mix and match is a disadvantage because you’re losing a huge amount of stats points...
  4. I think if they allow trailblazer to be available then what I suggest is really not that much stronger or OP... it just fits the scourge role much better...

I have been waiting for new attribute combination with the new patches releasing but NOTHING so far.Would be very nice if we have proper stats for scourge like | major: condition damage + healing power | minor: toughness + vitality.Please make it happen... plaguedoctor and apothecary is just not good enough.I don’t even wanna talk about how much of a joke for physical damage scourge...Thanks B)

Well there are also items like event tokens from four wind or the 8 bit thing (sorry can’t remember the name of the event) it’s just cluttering my slots but they don’t count as currency...and I work hard to get them but I have no use of them at the moment until the event comes back... those items should be counted as currency instead of taking my bag and bank space.... As for quest items a lot are like random pages of stuff showing me some sort of location (which I have not bother to read through all of them but when I double tap it it’s asking me to go somewhere????) like I got bunch of those in my bag...and I feel like if it’s some sort of quest leading somewhere I can’t really delete it but I also am not free to do whatever I want when I log into the game because I need to clear up my bag with bunch of random things I got in the world that’s not equipments or sellable items. (And many items cluttering my bag doesn’t even say I’d its achievement related item either so I have to google them individually to see what on earth is it for... especially some of them are in gold letters...) I just think items that have no value that’s either for achievement or quest related should be directed into a specific slot so player should don’t have to google everything they get in their bag it’s so ridiculous and inconvenience. I would even BUY the freaking specific bag that’s for those item if they even bother to code it into the game to make things easier.

I think this game really needs a specific inventory spot just for quest items... because my bag is ALWAYS full of garbage from quest stuff and I already purchased all the bag slots and it's still NOT enough. Please make it happen...even games that's wayyyy older than this have such function available. I'm not sure why GW2 doesn't have it!!??? :s
  9. Ya when I suggest duo pet I was talking about ranger pets with actual useful combat skills...not the rune pets or elite skill with ridiculous CD summons... but thanks anyways
  10. The beauty of gw2 is there is no trinity thing. You can be whatever you want and don’t need to rely on tank or healer...so why on earth they’d ruin it lol. If you want trinity you need to play something else like WOW Ff14 or whatever that’s out there
  11. Sorry but, what rank are you? Necro isn't a 1v1 char.Necro is a teamfighter. If you kill one in a 1v1. Whatever, it doesn't show anything. If played well, you can easily kill scourge or reaper,Kill scourge with reaper and kill reaper with scourge. Reaper is weaker than scourge in some regards:-no healing received in shroud-only one big burst-not much sustained dmg-less boon corrupts Reaper pros:-one big burst-one big hard ccCan get unlockable attacks (but isn't used in meta builds)-slightly better mobility than scourge I’m platinum rank so maybe you’re speaking higher rank?? Or perhaps lower rank??But as platinum player (and I generally rank with my necro)I do reaper and scourge and I find them equally strong both have their own strength. I wouldn’t say one is stronger than other.And I can kill people 1 vs 1 on scourge and my reaper too so saying scourge is only team player just shows your lack of knowledge on the class or your ability to PvP...
  12. Power reaper is sickening not sure what you’re talking about lol!!! You’re doing it wrong if you think reaper is any weaker than scourge.Scourge doesn’t need more nerfing I have seen many reaper pwning in PvP and kill scourge 1 on 1.Maybe you’re living in your fantasy pve world and feels strong lol~~~ go try 1 vs 1 against good reaper on your 4K hr scourge and repost your thoughts. ;)
  13. Necro staff is more of a life force building weapon. It doesn’t do a lot of damage but I like to use it when I’m running MM build lolSkill 2 heals your minions and do little damage to mobs... skill 3 kinda mah I spam it doesn’t do much for me.Skill 4 transfer condition is quite nice and skill 5 cc is for your breaking bar...I just wish the necro staff do a little more damage otherwise it’s not too bad overall. Consider all the skills are aoe except skill 1... which should also be aoe!! I think necro staff is better than ele’s earth and lighting staff tho. It’s like everything all build into one weapon.

  18. I was talking about staff elementalist why are you suggesting s/f...? The thread is about boosting staff..... And fire skill 2 on staff you do realize mobs will charge at you instead of sitting in that fire circle right? So in order to get the most out of that damage you gonna have to stand still and get beat up so mobs will get stay in that circle. And if you run full zerker like you suggested gl standing still hoping the mobs will die before you do in PoF or HoT especially if they’re elite... and my whole point is Mesmer and necro can use their staff and fight 1vs1 and be sufficient about it but ele’s staff only works for party play. For a class that can’t switch weapon during combat shouldn’t our weapon be more versatile than others? I see most of the replies are talking about how strong their staff is running with Zerg...the thing is if you’re running with a Zerg it doesn’t even matter what you’re running. The real play really comes in when you are by yourself with staff and that’s what I’m talking about here... Are you really complaining, that one of ele weapons isn't good at dueling?And even comparing scourge facilities to ele elements?That's just.... LoL That's like asking, getting thief dagger, or necro dagger to be viable everywhere. Why? Cause we want to walk in a zerg and do big DPS with autoattacking on dagger.Also: wheres necro buffs for 1v1 situations? I know I didn’t play a mage class to get in close combat and melee... please make staff elementalist viable to solo (I know many people are saying staff elementalist still have highest DPS) ya those dps only occurs if they have a party or someone to tank for them!!! I like to do a lot of solo contents and I don’t have a Zerg or party all the time when I’m playing... please rework staff skills or give elementalist a permanent summon/pet. Not everyone that plays this game always have a party or able to play on a time that majority of the players are playing... Thanks for reading... <3

I am actually running celestial with divinity runes (fire/ water/ weaver or tempest) for pve (earth/water/tempest) for PvP depends on the situation because I was so tired of dying with zerker build and needing Rez every so often it was also impossible to solo majority of the hero point at HoT so I had to made some changes but it’s quite awkward since I hit like a wet noodle and lack survivability stillll. I have to admit it is better but still no where near as efficient as my scourge or as strong as my condition mirage...what’s more frustrating is when I was solo roaming in WvW I was literally useless against a reaper...or a strong Mesmer... that non projectile axe from reaper hit like a truck or the 1200 range non projectile greatsword from Mesmer!! Even with a tank build I was dead on the floor in no time. Believe me I switch attunments according to situations, I may not play like a godly player but certainly was able to kill many players I fought against (I’m talking about 1vs1 situations). However in comparison the skills are just not as smooth compare to scourge or mirage (sorry I’m using this two classes to compare because I only like to play with mage classes) with scourge I can 1 vs 2 easily and mirage 1 vs 3 was pretty easy ... but no matter what build I try with my elementalist ...I can’t fight more than 1 vs 1. I’m a big PvP player and it’s quite sad to see how elementalist is just weakest of the bunch (and I’m talking about pure staff plays) only thing that elementalist got going is the fancy animations that attracts me... Btw I do miss those henchman from gw1!!! I was quite disappointed when I realize I’m gonna be my one man army in GW2...it was like in GW1 they were unique but in GW2 they just wanna be a boring MMORPG like everyone else.GW1 was leading the trend back then with the auto combat teammate system and able to gear them up as well. Many mobile games nowadays are trying to copy that idea except they add the lame stamina system and rarity of the henchmen. I actually thought perhaps dev should add a new element to f5 perhaps arcane damage or maybe f5 staff skills can be summoning elemental pets like how Mesmers weapons are able to summon clones and phantoms. Majority of staff skills all have some sort of delay damage or slow cast time having something/someone to tank for elementalist while casting and channeling those staff skills is quite crucial and would probably be able to fix those staff issues.
  22. Ya I do play different games but that still doesn’t change the fact GW2 PvP sucks compare to GW1 and changes are needed!I wish GW1 PvP is still active but it’s literally dead right now. I've been wishing for this since day one. The devs have generally lightly experimented with PvP outside of conquest mode and give up on those experiments fast. Capture the Flag mechanics - Spirit's Watch is the closest thing we've seen to the flag capture from GW1 GvG and it was always unpopular because it just randomly tossed the capture mechanic to a small map in the middle of a conquest game. This was incredibly unbalanced early on because the travel distance for capturing the orb is tiny on such a small map. This led to burst movement abilities becoming too powerful and instead of realizing that having a substantial travel distance for capture mechanics is the best way to allow players to react and strategize around escorting of orbs/flags, they just replaced all player skills with 3 generic skills in order to band-aid the map. NPC/Lord Battles - Legacy of the Foefire was the closest thing we ever saw to the GvG fights in GW1 and while it has been a reasonable success off and on throughout balance patches, it's always been restricted in how much the lord mechanic really matters for most games since the team size is small and just focusing on the conquest objectives is still the major focus of the game.Stronghold was put forward as a sort of hybrid between GW1 GvG and MOBAs, but by adding in so much focus on NPCs, few players really enjoyed the game and devs were never able to balance the game mode in a way that didn't leave 100% pure rush strategies as superior. Now it's just a dusty relic that's been long forgotten, but never fully removed, despite a pretty hefty initial investment. Deathmatch - This one is particularly sad since the fix is so obvious. When the devs added this to the game, they kept the point scoring and continuous respawn mechanics from Conquest, which was a huge shortcut that made the gameplay awful. Instead of mirroring the way that most of GW1 did deathmatch in Random Arenas or that WoW had done it with Arena, the continuous respawn just constantly led to games where a bit of actual good gameplay would start before one team inevitably gained the upper hand after securing some kills and then just snowballing and spawn camping until the timer ran out or score hit 500. If the devs would just turn off respawns or at least put in a killable NPC in charge of respawns, then games wouldn't drag out and be so miserable for everyone. Devs have dabbled with aspects of what they think players liked from GW1, but they've always either shied away from fully commiting to replicating the experience or tried to shove the whole package into a small map when large area of effect abilities and flashy skills already make PvP a kitten of a mess. However, I still hope that they learn from this and don't just give up on giving PvPers something different than Conquest. Thank you so much for pointing out more detailed flaws! There are just too much issues to really address but seriously dev should just implement what they had on GW1 to the PvP system here. Why abandon something that was great to something bad beat the crap out of me.

How often do people actually switch class to do 3 fb and 2 scourge lol!!I have done countless rank PvP I rarely see people switch class for team composition I don’t think it’s impossible for death match to happen because there is always a counter for every class or any build. I mean even in GW1 Mesmer was annoy to deal with but that doesn’t mean a Mesmer can carry the whole team. I think ANet should at least just try to put one death match in the rank PvP and see how it goes or maybe switch the gladiator map to death match. Instead of adding stupid flower bushes on that map witch was so weird and make no sense at all.The best thing about that map before was like an open space PvP not sure why they always butcher the good stuff :s
  24. If other games can do it I don’t see why we can’t do it in GW2, in WOW rouge and Druid and go invis but that doesn’t stop blizzard from having arena PvP or changing it into capture points crap. So your argument is invalid.Plus with PvP specific stats it’s not like they can be full bunker anyways so not sure what you’re worry about. If that’s your major concern they can easily remove bunker stats and that will solve the issue lol. But seriously if anyone here has ever played PvP in GW1 would know how bad GW2 PvP is in comparison.
