  1. The warhorn 5 has a problem with the daze added, it makes stealth blasting  the smokescales smoke field unnecessary complicated, cause you get revealed from the daze applied to enemy if he's close to you.

  2. The colldown that is about to implemented in banish will kill the flow/synergy in renegade.

with gvg and smallscale in mind and to a less extend roaming/zerging , the banish in general feels a bit too much with lower numbers of enemy players involved , kinda nessesarry in roaming vs boon classes and trying to compete with scourge in large squads.

Since overall boonstriping is getting lowered in general with the new patch , lower the target cap/ strips of the skill , DO NOT add a cooldown.

with the very specific rotation it has, the strips you achieve is (3x5)x3 = 45 boons  in mallyx, 60 boons in second swap to mallyx .

There are other ways of changing boonstrip, example: target cap and srips form banish enchantment can be lowered to 2 strips per 3 targets = 18 / 24 boons per swap

even lowering boonstrip with 2 strips per 4 targets and its still gona result in 24 / 36 boons per swap. compared to overall boon aplication that exists from classes  (boon runes used PER party are 2 dura runes / 1 pack , in some cases ) it will still strip enough without beeing overkill.

The strip build uses charged mists to gain exra energy for all other support skills involded ( dwarf, alacrity).  IF the banish gets a colldown , legend swaps are gonna be over 10% energy cause the energy replenish will be faster from the skill usage with the intent of lowering the energy.

so every 2nd swap will not be using charged mists and not gaining full benefit from the overall interaction for skill usage on next legend.

there also will be dead times between banish that need to be filled with skills that are not needed and mallyx will always have overecess energy going to waste.

in roaming it is not that spamable since you need to researve energy for dps skills, also loosing all of the energy for a 10% fill is not ideal cause it might not be a need for a legend swap yet, so legend swap is forced for overall energy starvation.

Overall boonstrip CAN be decreased, however puting a cooldown on bashish will sacrifice the choise of handling how many corrupts you wish to deliver. Sometimes there are instances of blowing all the strips/energy and sometimes there are instances of swaping early to dwarf situationally, in resulting corupting less. There are also instances letting the entire energy on a legend refill without the need for a legendswap. It is just the additional benefit not gained from charged mist in case of legendswaping early .

i feel  the cooldown implementation is gona take away an option of gameplay this specific specialization has for any specific gameplay that strips are used for.

  3. Ye it's true , a link might have given them a different experience ,

Tbf tho, they did have good guilds. RGB , dT , CS , and a lot of their players were active gvg-ers (still are).

Their open-field publics tho , yikes..

but in general it's the same almost with every public tag, 20 people carrying the rest 30, or worse.

  4. Another thing i have heard (and is in illuminati conspiracy levels) is that guilds and public tags realised they suck so much, so they all had a server meeting and DECIDED to play off hours, cause in EU prime time they would transform into farming material..

But thats an insanelly wild theory tbh...

  5. Oh, and ive seen public of 50+ portal bombing 2 random enemy pugs that tried opening T0 tower, then going back in .... WHILE ENEMY PUBLIC WAS STANDING LITERALLY 2K RANGE AWAY. says it all tbh ...

BB has population but that server has a really really bad skill attidude. They always run and loose even battles with 2x times more peoples.  On last reset they had a K/D ratio 0.3 against Deso and Drakkar. So BB has to work on their skill and strategies. You have entire Guilds with more than 30 peoples on the map but they can't manage to take a T1 tower against 12 public defenders. This shows a big lack of skill,. awarness and strategy (and maybe communication?) . And then i mean you guys are only awake after 22.00 ......before that i only see loose grps of NPC's which even die in t1 camps. I did even a video of it. This is hilarious.

And you know WHY they suck , right ? most BB  guilds based their entire playstyle around gyro and doing stealth bombs form gates , get ez kills , get back in , rinse/repeat . After the gyro nerf they all migrated in ebg to abuse cloacking for ez bags.I have beaten them 25 vs 40 public tags , 30 vs 25 + 20 + 25 with alliance guilds and so on. Imagine 4 guilds repeteatly steath bombing 2 by 2 and dying .

Cherry on top for me was back in 2019 , alpine border, T0 south east tower. I was in a guild of 20+ staring 3 guilds trying to open tower. We tried fighting like 1 of em , maybe the rest would respect that , but nah, all 3 adding. Mybe they wanted tower so bad ,  leader waited for em to take tower so they come out and fight . They STOPPED cata, turn it 180 and start cata-ing our face...

    Absolute garbage cans.

They only good guild and commander they got going for them is CS and that Tortas dude.

    Everything else is dogsh*t.

    Staff catalyst has 2 builds:

    1.  Very difficult one: Middle-Middle-Middle traits that  requires you to have 10 stacks of elemental empowerment during meteor showers, else you wont deal much damage. You do this by blasting fields for auras, ccing enemies and dodging attacks. Of course this is very unreliable since enemy might have stab or not hit you all the time. This build pretty much died when they made allied auras not apply elemental empowerment stacks.
    2. Boon one: Middle-Bottom-Bottom traits whose damage comes from massive amount of might stacks, fury and quickness you share to your party. Your personal damage will be lower but in return your party will have 10+ might, fury and almost perma quickness. Now of course offensive boons are not all it shares but also decent amount of stab, protection, regen, vigor, resistance

Other damage modifiers for catalyst comes from having stronger stunbreak (Invigorating air) that provides ton of superspeed which translates to DPS and the fact that Elemental Empowerment stacks also give extra defensive stats so you  can run more berserker stats. Also Jade spheres can remove blind from you and aegis from enemies.

Example of Build 2  There are some options regarding traits, utilities, sigils and runes but main structure remains the same. reason you run fire sigil even though it is slightly less theoretical DPS, it will give you more Jade Sphere energy and boons for your whole party.

Now there are also Weaver downsides as it doesnt have access to 3 skills outside fire with proper rotation so it cant share stab, or cast as many water fields. And if you want to drop static field, cleanse allies, immob or earth line  at perfect moment, you typically cant since you don't have access to 4 and 5 skills instantly. Burning retreat is also important escape and Weaver is forced to start fire as main attunement with 0 flexibility.

Thanks for the answer bro but I found the problem . I was playing it wrong . I was playing it like insta dps spike like rev as I'm used to , I realised it's more of dmg over time on aoes. Dps is there just needs some secs to tick.🤣

  8. Rev is the class not the specialization. It can be Hammer core/herald/vindicator/renegade, I've played Hammer versions on all of these specs.  Hammer revenant is my most played zerg class amongst all others. And yes snowflake , I can cloud zerg players myself and kill em you are not special.

  9. Solemn real talk now unrelated to post tho

Wtf is wrong with zerg  staff catalyst?? Compared to weaver it feels underpowered af . Like lava fonts not criting , storm glyf significantly less dmg , like 4 k power it feels like im gently brushing enemies .

Comparing the 2 has weaver more dps throught traits and dual attacks coefs? My first time playing it in large scale felt different from the weaver I played couple of times. Usually I play hammer rev tho, I dunno if I'm missing anything or is this spec a noodle...

Like .. did staff ele got THAT much nerfed over the years ? ....

Don't want to sound negative but you basicly run in wvw blop there is nothing rev about it exp playing a class 🙃

What do you mean ? It's literally a revenant class , or did you mistake it for a thief ?
