  1. I know people want hundred blades to not root you, but I've always wanted it to block frontal attacks instead. I actually think it would be more useful. And yeah, fix rush. Also maybe make it so you can just sidestep Bladetrail.
  2. Just run the cele zerker build: Longbow, Sword Sword, Def 1-2-2, Disc 2-3-3, Zerker 3-2-3. Trapper runes and sigils to taste. It's absolutely busted and I commonly win 1vX. Cele either needs to be removed or it needs to have concentration/expertise cut. Power builds aren't awful but you have very little margin of error unless they're just bad or you're on fire. You will get trashed by anything cele and competent Willbenders/Theives.
  3. dw, im done. you can continue your circle jerk pity party now
  4. I disagree, but fair enough. Only reason I even piped up was because your guys' collective answer was to tell OP to play a different class lol. War is fine, ignore the "must play whatever is meta or I can't win" mindset and stop blaming the game if you lose. Warrior (spellbreaker specifically) can beat any class if played right, the meta builds are just easier
  5. Idk man, "those builds lose to actual meta" is a weird statement to me. you read the other player to figure out what they're doing and use your tools to counter what they want to do. As far as I can tell, spellbreaker has the tools to counter anything and take matches off it "1v1 on near equal skill". Thief is really annoying if they're good, and cele builds are a pain but outside of that, if it's a loss, there's something I can do better to win the fight. It's not like a hard rock/paper/scissors thing, so framing it like that feels odd
  6. You can go to the dueling spot, or you know, have made friends over time. depending on the matchup, knowing where the good roamers/guilds usually gravitate to, etc. it's funny you think you can't find good players consistently. also, I dont really care if you think im good or not. I'm on SoR tho and happy to duel anytime you're in matchup
  7. Just the standard strength spellbreaker thing: build and sometimes with defense: build. I consider the cele builds cheese and wasn't counting them, so if you want the win on me using "every" then fine, you win. and just for the record, im not saying warrior is in the best place, it definitely takes more work than others but it's FAR from garbage. and anyone saying it is, is delusional
  8. Incorrect, you're free to think whatever you want, but I duel good players consistently and it's competitive against every "meta" roamer build. I also appreciate the irony of being so defeated that you say someone else has L2P issues for not saying the class is bad lol.
  9. LOL, what?? We must be playing different games. War is fine for roaming, if you're having problems to the point where you think its garbage, there's some L2P issues happening
  10. This is a good point, having better range on GS/Hammer would actually make a big difference. I think some minor tweaks like that would make war feel so much beetter. Another being let magebane pull ALL THE WAY TOO YOU like DH F1, bonus points if made manually triggerable. And the ever living meme that is Rush, like, just steal the rock gazelle SB animation, can't remember the skill name, and stick it on GS 5.
  11. Aside from MMR being more about the endurance than the healing, Mending is arguably the best heal skill in the game. With it's low cooldown you can cast it more often than you probably are. Getting a full counter daze on someone will buy you time to get it off safely. I'll pop it just for the condi clear sometimes, plus it gives a damage bonus from Peak Performance and more healing/damage/endurance if you're running Fighter runes with the might on heal.
  12. If you're talking statistically, then yeah, but I definitely do better on war than other classes. Because there's a ton of counter play due to full counter, the dodges from MMR, the CC, the mobility, etc. You just need to know the match ups. I won't disagree that we need some buffs or some hard balance on all classes Basically, with ranger it's easier to beat other players that I would already beat on warrior but if the other player is equal skill, I'd rather take warrior. Depending on the class obviously, I just run away from full trailblazer condi builds in wvw. That's for me specifically tho, I've been a war main almost the entire time I've been playing the game, but I do take your point. If I had the same time played in ranger maybe my answer would be different
  13. You're not wrong, there's not much margin of error on war atm. It's especially annoying when playing ranger because of how easy of a time it has in pvp. I would give anything to get ranger greatsword on war
