  1. FB has most team cleanse. Its really hard to fight a team with a FB as scourge. The whole high uptime 25 might and quickness means than anyone on their team is hitting like trucks back.
  2. While i can agree with the 50%-25% crit change for rental, give guard SOMETHING back. Guard's shouts are straight garbage. they don't give many boons and the duration are god awful. Most haven't seen a change since release and they weren't even competitive back then.Spirit weapons are still bad. Mid cast time and delay for effect isn't a viable combination.Medis were go-to for a long time, but they have been nerfed a few times and have been power crept pretty hard.Consecrations are a joke. Not even remotely competitive in pvp, only wall is ever used in any game mode. You had very limited build options for any form of power guard and they received 3 separate nerfs (smite conditions, glacial heart, RI) without any meaningful buffs. Hammer guard saw repeated nerfs back to back on a build that wasn't competitive in any format. The cast time on every effect hammer has are incredibly long and do very middling damage/effects.GS guard was low-mid plat competitive when mirages were popular, but the RI crit nerf without any compensating buffs killed that. Previously gs guard lost to holos, sb, or revs, now they get dominated by them.DH hasn't been competitive since the initial round of heavy handed nerfs after HoT release. I'd love to see something done for power guards, but i really don't have confidence that Anet has a good grasp on what is wrong. I'm betting on some concentration cd buffs or something meaningless like that. Guard's problems have been apparent since release and haven't been solved, so why now?
  3. The weapon is straight garbage.PVE the weapon's dps is complete and utter trash. Just spamming scepter 1 and 2 do more dps than the entire longbow kit.PVP it serves no purpose and its purpose runs counter to the entire rest of guard's purpose. the weapon i on a profession that needs to be close to its target. Unlike ranger, guards have very few ranged or good self buff utilities. Imo, i'd turn the LB into a CC weapon. Knockbase base on 3, make the 4 symbol knockdown target if they get hit by X pulses. That gives you 3 hard CCs on one weapon and mitigates the channel problems on 2 and 5. I woludn't even take it in WVW as being rooted for an attack is asking to die. DPS isn't good, your hp is tiny if you go dps with guard, and your entire profession concept is pretty meaningless. Overall, a big problem with guard is the lack of dps purpose in PVP. You cannot play high level pvp with dps guard. You are strictly inferior to almost every other power dps class. With the 25% crit loss and the hammer nerf, Anet took a mid-low teir PVP profession and nerfed it into the ground. You play support FB or you don't play guard in PVP right now.
  4. 100% agree. Not even just boonbeast, but also more dps oriented builds. Most elites are pretty hard locked into one build with maybe 1 or 2 trait switches and 1 utility switches available. Soulbeast has multiple roles it can perform at S-A teir. Not just that, but if running longbow/GS you are pretty close to shortbow thief in ability to pick the landscape of fights and which you want to engage/disengage. The flexibility of the class to perform almost every role you want to do in PVP is crazy. I don't understand how it has maintained a position in the top classes for so long and hasn't seen any meaningful nerfs.
