The Bonus Event lasts 6 days. It seems to be working the same as the world Boss and Fractal rushes (complete events, spend currency to progress the bar), and there is even a 5 tier reward setup for the bonus event just like those two. The idea is to just keep doing the Dragon Response missions, earn the currencies and buy more stuff until the next drop. This is the (literal) Calm Before the Storm right now. Story-wise we are gathering allies and responding to the threats. Game play-wise we are running the events over and over until the next threat (chapter) emerges. I think it would be awesome to have the option to be able to enter dungeons that we have completed all paths on, and have them be completely devoid of enemies. Just big, open instances that we can spend time wandering around and enjoying the no-doubt countless hours of work the teams put into decorating them that otherwise gets ignored in favor of speed clears.

There are a million and a half reasons why it won't happen, and continuing to beat that dead horse is likely what led us to having that malformed Pegasus skin for the Griffon. The devs used a group of necromancers to reanimate the desecrated corpse of said dead horse and sold it in the gem shop.
