Shock aura stuns en mass roughly every 2 seconds per player that activates the effect - powerful Magnetic aura reflects proj - powerful Frost aura chills enemy and reduces dmg by 10% - good defence, powerful if chill isnt cleansed Flame aura grants might and burns enemies - powerful if condi support but might is better granted elsewhere In comparison Chaos aura randomly gives regen, protection, swiftness to allies with weakness, confusion, cripple to enemies when hit - powerful if someone is repeatedly hitting them in rapid succession While Chaos aura IS powerful, is it really more so than a support elementalist. Comparing mainly what occurs when an aura is granted VS the rest of the support: Elementalist Active heals (trait) + passive heals (water & regen) Mass Protection + Vigor + Regen everytime they grant an aura (trait) Mass Reactive stun + crowd control Mass reflect Mass damage reduction (frost aura AND protection) Mesmer Passive heals (Regen) Mass Reactive Protection + Swiftness + Regen - Randomly Allocated Mass Reactive Weakness + Confusion + Cripple - Randomly Allocated There's also a massive difference in the sheer quantity of applications for these abilities. Elementalist literally gets these aura's as utilities AND skill bar abilities where mesmer has only Illusionary Membrane (trait), Staff 4, Rifle 3 (a self fulfilling blast combo) & leap + one other blast combo (torch 4)
  2. - Chaotic Transference: This trait no longer shares chaos aura with nearby allies. It now grants regeneration to nearby allies when you apply chaos aura to yourself. Chaotic Transferance was a new iconic & fantastic way for support mesmers to play, being one of the only ways to en mass grant chaos aura to allies. What support auramancer was to Elementalist, Chaotic Transferance was a new iconic way to play support mesmer. There are HUNDREDS of ways to apply regeneration. There is only one class in the game that has open access to chaos armor. This isn't even remotely close to a good exchange. Please revert this change, I think this build style was destroyed way too quickly. It hasn't even been 6 months since this trait was reworked in such an amazing way, the decision to immediately butcher it now feels like premeditated murder because someone didn't want to take the time to deal with a larger balance issue. If chaos armor is too strong when combined with this trait, then examine chaos armor so its not so broken when mass applied to a group. There isn't any issue with elementalist auramancer granting 4 different aura's consistently, to the point that 2/3 of its elite spec's have a way to revolve builds around it.
  3. The Focus on Elementalist has seen some of the fewest changes and balances since launch. Freezing Gust has ONLY had a single change made to the skill since launch, back in 2013 June 25. The skill applies a low duration chill to a single target and deals low dmg with a 0.25 dmg modifier. Please balance pass.
  4. So I was excited to get treasure hunter protocol to help track down chests that are nearby when I'm doing things. However for some reason it doesn't display all chests as stated. For example trade caches & lost dwarven chests in desert. The wiki even lists this as an anomaly meaning its known by the community. Is this being worked on???

Lily of the Elon Qol Request: Either add a "return to previous location" button, automatically return the player to their previous location when they click the invitation again, add a right click option on invitation to return to previous location. There is a portal that can do this at the location but from what I understand most other passes already return you to the previous location when used again (at least mistlock sanctuary does).
  6. The axes spinning stationary behind the target feels a bit weird. I think it would be interesting if they circled around the target but not sure that would be good dps wise. A fair bit disappointed that there isn't also an offhand axe considering thief only has 2 offhand weapons at this time. Axe Ambush just feels not worth using. Having to manually recall them like this feels weird. I would suggest making auto into a 3 combo, the 3rd hit in combo being the recall combo does not "time-out" when axes are out. Remove "axe limit" altogether since basic attack would solve the issue of too many axes. Recalled axes always apply bleeding and their original ailments. 2nd and 3rd skill should both throw out axes. 3rd skill should get a reactivate that shadowsteps and recalls axes early and immobilizes. If re-activate expires just throw an immobilizing axe that gets added to the combo Ambush should play more into the whole axe theme rather than just go boom. Ambush applies ailment to all existing axes and recalls. Then throws exploding Axe. Summary: Auto becomes combo, recall as combo 3 & part of ambush, ambush adds ailments instead of 3rd axe 3rd axe applies ailments and is thrown. Reactivate for immobilizing shadowstep OPTION rather than forced shadowstep. Throw immobile axe if expire
  7. Similar problem. Got to 4th reward tier, linked gw2. Logged in and no mail rewards. When I reached the 5th reward tier I received the purple mask, which i have, but didnt receive the other items I am still missing. Really wanted the mini.
  8. I don't know if it's been brought up at all but there is actually an opportunity here for an amazing piece of synergy in the trait tree that doesn't exist yet. Thrill of the Crime - Fury, might & swiftness when you steal. Bountiful Theft - Rip boons from your target and grant them to allies (Steal) As a Spectre, you can "Siphon" allies (Steal) This would essentially allow spectre's to take 3 boons from an ally and regrant it to the group. It would need some tweaks for how it does this exactly so as to not straight up steal boons from an ally and leave them vulnerable but it would make it amazing for spectre's. Thrill of the crime should also trigger when targeting an ally. Rot Wallow Venom is interesting but lacking. If it wasn't consumed when an ally attacks but just stacked so allies applied multiple stacks of torment as you barrier them it could be an interesting way to play. Also considering its a venom, I believe it should synergize with Leeching Venoms, so that players that attack with stacks of Rot Wallow Venom can siphon life. Barrier allies to allow steal healing if you will. I also think any negative effect that steal would apply to enemies should apply the reverse effect to allies. There's a legit conversion list for what boons corrupted into conditions and conditions purified into boons become and it would be a great opportunity to make unique usage of it. Unsure of what daze could reverse into other than quickness. That or cause allies siphoned from to apply these ailments via Rot Wallow Venom, such as Deadly Ambition causing the dual attack to add poison to the next stack of Rot Wall Venom. There are a few inconsistencies with radius on both the thief and spectre trait tree's. Shadow Savior - Heal after completing a shadowstep, heal allies for greater amount. 360 radius Traversing Dark - Heal allies in area around you when you shadowstep - 240 radius Similar concept, worse healing radius on Spectre? Why? Improvisation currently has no synergy with Spectre as no stolen skills are obtained. Spectre is a weird mix idea of applying ailments & barrier with occasional healing, but unlike other elite specs is heavy on the single target on weapons. If its gonna be single target heavy, it needs to give good chunks to the target player. One way you could set him apart is perhaps Barrier applied from Spectre lasts longer? Or perhaps has a higher healing co-efficient when applying Barrier (more effective). That's all my current thoughts on it for the moment.

He will not purchase (refuses to even) unless fully confirmed that this would be a 100% valid and supported transaction fully legit.

To Necro an old thread, I found a third party mouse app that lets me intercept button commands and swap them for something else.IE if i scroll my mouse up, it will first ignore the scroll command in guild wars 2 (don't want to adjust my view), then swap to a new layer that lets me simulate a key-press something like "clicking mb4 triggers f1 instead of mb4" for example. So I am still only doing 1 action, just allowing a single button to change what action it does when I use the scroll wheel (i guess kinda like holding the shift key). This is permissible? Don't wanna try until i know.
  12. I can somewhat agree with many players here. I am mainly a PVE player, and I REALLY want to like ele, and I thought weaver would be the one, but sadly no dice, AMAZING concept, just.......1) Elementalist is already a class that requires a medium to high skill ability with it, as you have 4 weapon sets as your base mechanic. Not gonna lie, my results for playing it be rather poor. And adding suddenly lower cooldowns (that are in fact hard cooldowns VS core mechanic free swap to non-used recently element) in exchange for mix'n match elements and combos sounds nice on paper, but actually playing it just makes it more complex. Where once you might have tried to keep mental track of an elements skill cooldowns, now you have even lower cooldowns requiring more precision to micro manage, plus 4 hybrid skills.2) Quite frankly ele is a burst cannon as core mechanic. 4 weapon skills, pop all skills, swap to the next, burst, continue. As a whole not sure how I feel about this. I'm trying to build effectively, and yet veteran and up enemies give me a hard time (new content) because the life pool they have plus their new skills directly counter power AND melee bursting.3) Skills Signet of restoration working on only one cast with Arc lightning, and any long duration cast.Freezing Gust (Water focus 4) is a single target low damage chill.... (look at chillblains for comparison), quite bad......Obsidian flesh (earth focus 5), 3 seconds invuln for 50 second cooldown. High tradeoff (but again the idea of ele is to shotgun skills, in my understanding).Some aura granting weapon skills (Frost - Ice dagger 4, Flame - Fire focus) in my opinion are kind of just there for the concept of the quick skill burst then swap to the next set..... I mean the Sunspot trait deals damage AND gives fire aura when you swap to fire..... no the trait doesn't need a nerf, Flame shield needs a buffEruption (earth staff 2), 1 1/4 cast time with delayed explosionThe massive damage tradeoff on water skills for often minimalistic healing (hello new water sword auto)Two ults that change your skills, and one thats just a buffed up minion. Do we not have enough skills? Again it's a class that requires medium to high proficiency in micromanagement and rapid decision-making if your not just swapping and popping. Anyone that disagree's otherwise probably falls under one of those two categories. Swapper and popper, or able to micromanage. At least fix water focus 4...... give it a duration or something, make it a mini blizzard.
