I should have specified. I was referring to the elo decay on our account after a brief period of inactivity. Also, during season 1 - everyone started at ruby (or whatever the beginner level was).

This is why we need at least a month of the off-season. Turn off the ranked button @Anet. As of now, new players have no room for growth. They can't learn in ranked, and yet they don't have the chance to play with experienced players in unranked (where most of the learning happens). Anet is sabotaging its own game, pvp'ers, and new players to reward pve'er and legendary farmers.

You are exaggerating a bit there. Maybe Anet should cap the number of spots in legendary (to 50, perhaps)? Make it like challenger on league of legends. Players ought to be protected from elo hell.

I think you are confusing the bunker meta with the algorithm. The first season algorithm worked. And why is everyone so fixated on the PVP population? A bad algorithm is still a bad algorithm, notwithstanding the number of players on any given day - This shouldn't matter! It is bad! As a pvp'er and WvW'er, I do not expect to partake in high-end PvE. As a matter of fact, I never have raided and have a hard time finding a team in high-level fractals. So why should pvp'er deal with bots under the guise of the game population? A bad algorithm is still bad - they need to fix it, or they will destroy our community. Pvp'ers are competitive - Anet needs to stop awarding losers. Bring back the pip system and lengthen the off-season period.

The mobility creep is indeed a problem in spvp. I have had games (Tourney) where the entire team was zerging and somehow, they still won. Pvp has been reduced to brute force, decapping point is no longer as OP as it used to be.

The matchmaking is horrible. It's impossible to carry to the point where i stopped caring about winning. I am currently playing for enjoyment. Still, 2 teams on the same side shouldn't be a thing. Idk how i ended up getting stuck in elo hell (probably me trying to make power vindi work), but with this matchmaking; i won't get out.

I can't tell if you are trolling or not. But by that statement, he is implying that I am the one with the "skill issue,"; or are your critical thinking skills non-existent? I have won multiple duels against e-sport player - So, i'd recommend keeping your asinine statement to yourself. I have been playing this game for 8+ years. That's 8 years of PVP, how dare you insult my skills? Can you point any inconsistency in my post? If not, you don't have to post. Class is very important in PVP. A good thief will carry harder than a rev (decap and +1). A great warrior can hold a point forever (great sustain and dps), and with their new added mobility, they travel back and forth between mid and home - basically doing my job better. A plat + rev can't win a 1 vs 1 against a Necro in this current meta. It's impossible; you might get lucky with a DH, but the odds are still stacked against you. Would you be dumb enough to walk on a point that has been stacked with traps?? This game is still about getting points.

Idk what to do. Losing most 1 vs 1. Idk what this class is, Not good enough to be a thief Not good enough to be better than a warrior; Tf since when do warrior have more mobility than us?? Getting outclass by rangers, mesmer, etc.. Impossible to win against DH and Necros. Can't find a spot in high level fractals. Why is CondiRen the only viable option???
