The most common ranger build in PvP at the moment is the core valkyrie sidenoder. Sic'em soulbeast ranger is still relevant, but lower in the standings. Various trap builds across all three specs also exists. Druid suffers for a number of reasons, the reduced pet stats among them.

The death penalty on pet is too high, more so than the soulbeast fix being too powerful. It is a 200 % cooldown increase baseline. 100 % would be more fair.
