Soilder.3607
Hello.  This skill is bugged in the following way: When targeting allies or enemies, if the Astral Whisp passes through 5 or more allies before reaching its target the Whisp will then proceed to pass through its target and not rotate around them, therefore not healing allies. In large fights, this makes the skill very unreliable as it is likely to pass through your teammate and heal no one. I have a few GIF's demonstrating this.  https://imgur.com/gallery/4csStH8 https://imgur.com/a/rDHyWXc https://imgur.com/gallery/M2Tr26x https://imgur.com/gallery/gJJxjfG https://imgur.com/gallery/5fu5xy8  In each of these GIF's I use Astral Whisp only for it to pass through my teammate. Double Tap.3940
Â This is not a bug, and is behaving as intended following the 10/4 update. The healing no longer comes from the rotating projectile. Â On 9/29/2022 at 3:45 PM, Rubi Bayer.8493 said: Astral Wisp: This skill can now target allies. After attaching to a target, this skill will now pulse healing to allies around that target instead of creating a circling projectile that heals allies. If it has a limit on how many allies it can interact with, then the skill no longer does whats its description says. So either Astral Wisp is bugged and you aren't understanding which part of the skill we are concerned about, or the skill description no longer matchs the actual effect of the skill. The healing no longer comes from the rotating projectile.   I appreciate you responding to my post Double Tap.  The issue is that the Astral Whisp projectile is not attaching to targets, and therefore not pulsing its healing. The GIF's demonstrate this I think rather clearly. I cast Astral Whisp on an ally; as it moves towards that ally it passes through several other allies, and by the time it reaches the ally who I targeted and intended for the Whisp to pulse healing around, it will move through them and then disappear, healing no one.  This behavior I can only replicate when the Whisp passes through 5 or more allies/enemies before reaching your target. So to me I think that the skill is counting the targets it passes through as part of the Target Limit and so when the Whisp reaches the person you actually targeted it won't attach because it has exceeded its target limit.  I play in large scale, organized fights in WvW and the majority of times that I use Astral Whisp on an ally it is behaving with this bug and not healing anyone.
Double Tap.3940
@Soilder.3607 Apologies, my previous statement came from a misunderstanding of your original post! (I'm not a druid player, so this is unfamiliar territory for me!) You are correct. This is, in fact, a bug. I have escalated this issue and we're looking into it! 4
Za Shaloc.3908
Gonna add onto this topic since it's related to Druid and it got a dev response: Glyph of the Stars (non-CA version) finally has a working water field. This is great! However, there is no ring indicator for the water field. Just an FYI for you Double Tap.
Double Tap.3940
@Za Shaloc.3908 We're aware of that issue and working on a fix. 😄 Thank you! 1
Za Shaloc.3908
Just wanted to revive this thread a bit because a bug still exists with this skill where if you use it on an ally who moves too quickly around you while you are casting it the skill will fail and go on full cooldown. This is most easily testable while the allied target is close to the Druid and moves around a lot.
