Mesmer new player

Hello everyone ! I'm new to the game and love the playstyle of mesmer, but I'm still very clueless. So I just want to ask what are some nice builds for a beginner and I mainly just do solo questing or a little bit of dungeons and what spec be good to start with? Hmmm Mesmer is a tricky starting Class. Your best bet is Staff Mirage and go from there.

Mesmer unlike other Classes only really becomes strong with its Elite specialisations so if you plan on leveling with Mesmer that might be very hard if you are inexperienced. 

Mesmer also doesn't have the default Low Intensity Build since all Elites can facilitate that playstyle with the right build.

Virtuoso is fairly easy to play, and you can also try staff mirage.

You can choose, and I recommend starting with Virtuoso.

I love the flying daggers so I go with virtuoso as well lol how do I choose it? And is chronomancer the hardest spec?

For levelling use great sword. Good damage and ranged. At level 80, solo questing you can choose between power or condition (damage over time) builds. Condition Mirage is the safest solo to play, but also the hardest to play. Power chrono or Virtuoso are easier to play, but not as survivable.
 

I would recommend going to GW2 Metabattle for detail of builds.
