SoftFootpaws.9134 Posted January 20, 2023 Share Posted January 20, 2023 (edited) The main reason is that gold sellers, real money traders, etc. would gift upgrades to their own accounts. That's why the devs tend to stick to items that can be deleted when the illegal trade is traced back. Some games like FF14 have greatly reduced the number of giftable items due to illegal trades.
