This is exactly what's going to happen. The priorities shift from gyros which actually had some use if not for lack of being forced to just use them off cooldown instead of strategically to just putting together builds that just allow us to use finishers instead and have us do crazy stuff to keep quickness up. We still aren't going to be using moves strategically and more accidental deaths since the wonderful hitboxes can end up ignored with things like rocket charge; oh how many times I end up throwing myself off the ledge cause it would not stop at my target. All my CCs are still going to be on constant CD just so I can enact finishers now, so this is just moving the goalposts and making it even more awkward. And again we do not even bring the full utility of a firebrand to the team making this even more awkward. We don't provide aegis (which oddly mechanist does), our super speed is limited (unlike the mechanist), and barrier was nerfed to the point it has forced builds to go hard into power to make it useful, and being a healing support scrapper just don't even bother. This feels like we are being told either go mechanist or holosmith and give up on scrapper. First it was them attempting to turn gyros into wells, now it's just move the goalposts and still not fix the problem of keeping powers on CD. And probably forcing scrappers to put in more concentration because getting combo finishers is going to be even longer periods than just using gyros. 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MrForz.1953 Posted June 12, 2023 Share Posted June 12, 2023 Heal quick's the least impacted, infact it might come out better given that the concerned material such as the Elixir Gun and the Med Kit perform decent combos on a whim. Add a landmine (or two with Gadgeteer) on top of these water fields and the Blast Gyro and you're pretty much set. Quick DPS is going to get really weird. I'd foresee Grenades, Blast Gyro and Flamethrower Kit for its blast finisher on a 6 second cooldown? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They may want you to use explos/tools for quickdps so you can use blast+mine+charge for a ton of finishers back to back Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If we don’t get hosed on the quickness duration per application hScrapper will be a Huge win. Dps qScrapper will be a bit funky but we’ll have options. If you don’t want to rocket charge then you will probably end up taking turrets and blast gyro or flamethrower but rocket charge should be the ideal. It all comes down to what the base quick duration is, at 2.5s(current) scrapper should be better than before. If it drops to 2s it’ll be a bit painful. EDIT: Since I got some confused emotes, I thought I'd share a quick spreadsheet to give people a better idea: Rifle hScrapper w/Thumper Turret at 2.5s Quickness base duration: https://imgur.com/S2s1LN3https://imgur.com/S2s1LN3https://imgur.com/S2s1LN3 That'll be one of the good build options, Thumper helping cover Prot (won't be full coverage) while Rifle gives better might. If it's 2.5s then that same setup (base hScrapper) will be at 112% uptime. Add on Flamethrower and we're solid either way, but I hope we don't have to take a dedicated blast utility when we already have 4 built in.
