How do we think our boon builds will fare after balance patch?

I've been away for a while, looking to see how people feel our boon builds will be after the next balance patch as I enjoy mesmer but like playing boon support.

Alac Mirage is propably dead after the upcoming nerfs. It wasn't that great before on most fights and now they nerf it even further.

Chrono I think we'll have to see what people can come up with once we can actually play it. However, it probably won't be great either because both quickness and alac will be on phantasms, which means you can't apply boons out of combat.

I can see chrono securing some spots, but Mirage is absolutely gutted. I agree with Ascii, next patch most likely going to be the final nail in the coffin I'm afraid. Solar and CMC's work is almost done.

Soon enough, none of the classes will feel good because they're removing everything that makes them fun.

 

Maybe main ele, that's what cmc plays so it will get buffs every patch. It can already replace every "role" so...

As a chrono player, it's challenging to theorycraft at the moment - there's some critical information missing from the balance update notes.

Specifically for:

• Stretched Time: This trait has been reworked. Flow of Time affects nearby allies. Grant alacrity to nearby allies when you summon a phantasm.
• Seize the Moment: This trait no longer causes Tides of Time to grant quickness and instead grants quickness to nearby allies when you summon a phantasm.

Neither of these skills indicate the range, or more importantly, the duration of alacrity/quickness granted upon summoning a phantasm.  My complete speculation is it won't be too difficult to maintain boon uptime, but we won't find out till the full patch notes are released.

Well. Chrono still won't be able to provide any boons other than Quick or Alac.

And it won't be able to heal.

So there is no way that it'll be favored over Mechanist, Firebrand, Druid, or Revenant.

But the Quick and Alac are provided using the same mechanic as the DPS build so you'll probably do decent DPS while only providing Quick or Alac. So you won't be kicked out of groups but you probably won't be sought out like a class that can provide all the boons or keep a group alive..
