Should GW2 Change It’s Name?

I've occasionally talked to people who think it implies either that the game is much more PvP focused than it is, or that you have to do everything with a guild. But both are fairly minor concerns and it's easy for anyone who is considering getting the game to find out that's not the case, even before they start playing.

I'm not sure why this is worth bringing up (there's been no previous mention of Zelda games in this thread) but it's also not entirely accurate. The first game was called The Hyrule Fantasy: Legend of Zelda in Japan only (not Hyrule Warriors, that's a seperate spin-off series developed much later based on Dynasty Warriors). They considered making Hyrule Fantasy the name of the series, but that doesn't mean it is or even that it ever was the series name. When the first game was released outside Japan it was just called The Legend of Zelda and that's the name that's been used for all the games since then, including in Japan.

Saying it's actually called Hyrule Fantasy would be like saying ArenaNet is actually called Triforge Inc because that was briefly the name of the new company back when it was 3 people.

No, we already have a game called Guild Wars: Guild Wars.

All the articles and videos "media" created about the original game is about "Guild Wars" and renaming Guild Wars 2 this name will not change the many media written bout the original game to include "Classic". It just makes things confusing.
