Teknomancer.4895 Posted September 9, 2023 Share Posted September 9, 2023 (edited) Now if they would just make the rifts consistently appear on the map, instead of being secretive and obscure by making us rely on the HotO's uselessly vague "warp-speed screensaver" effect that only shows direction, but not location. If they can make NPC voices carry across the entire map no matter how far away from you the speakers are, surely they can make map event markers appear no matter how far away from the event you may be. Fondling the magic blue egg should mark the exact position on your map, not just give you some vague "over yonder somewhere" hint. I don't know how many times I've either showed up just in time to watch the rift close, or gotten halfway across the map only for the directional path to abruptly change (and why is it always on the opposite/farthest side of the map?!). Whether or not you get the red map indicator for a rift event appears to be completely random.
