A random question from a new warrior player (PVE)

I see most power warrior builds go into 'Berserker's Power' trait (is berserker mode not capped  at stage 1?)

Would for example going 'Aggressive Onslaught' together with 'Peak Performance'  buff (6sec 10% damage) with say a spammable physical skill like 'Kick' not wield higher DPS?

Berserker's power stacks to 4, and berserker bursts grant 2 stacks per burst. It nets you higher dps. You may only get a level 1 burst at a time in berserk state, but you can dish out so many bursts that hardly matters.

Playing Aggressive onslaught in Openworld is totally fine. I do so myself.

21% Extra dmg doesn't matter much when you hit slow as duck.

Only problem is that the quickness duration is pretty low with 3 seconds. So you either have to load up on Boon Duration or you play berserker with the trait Heat the Soul.

These 2 traits together give you easy 100% Quickness uptime. Without the need to go heavy into Boon Duration.

For Open World your weapon skills and bursts are generally powerful enough to kill things quickly. The extra damage from Berserker's Power does stack as you spam bursts, and will help on Champion/Legendary mobs to kill them quicker, but sometimes more utility is better to have.

Basically, for big mobs or meta events you'll want Berserker's Power or Might Makes Right, but everywhere else Aggressive Onslaught is fair game. Ultimately play what you find the most fun and don't worry about what trait is most optimal until later on. Spend the time now to learn the class and what feels best for you.
