SatyricL.2784 Posted November 12, 2023 Share Posted November 12, 2023 Ever since a few days ago, my game has been crashing constantly. At least once every hour. Doesn't matter where. New or old content. The same crash. Over and over. Today finally broke me to the point where I am considering the game to be in an unplayable state. I crashed 7 times during the skywatch meta event. So far I have tried: -repair Updating video drivers Reverting video drivers Clearing gw2 cache from temp Clean installing both video drivers and a complete uninstall and reinstall of gw2 Nothing has worked. And if today is any indicator, its actually gotten worse. If anyone can look at this crash log and give me a clue as to what the hell is going on, and how I can fix it, it would be a huge help. I have about 10 more of these, but I stopped after a while, because they were all the same. AHITCZ.5694 Posted November 12, 2023 Share Posted November 12, 2023 Ultimately, you would need to contact the Support team, but what is worth noting is I believe others have been also encountering crashes since the latest updates. Unfortunately, it is hard to determine any commonalities as each person's case is quite unique and where they are crashing, their specs, etc. so I will start with the following: Try setting all graphics options to low, medium, high & even let GW2 try detecting best performance vs look to see if any particular settings you find make impacts or at least minimizes crashes. Try running Command Prompt in admin mode along with "sfc /scannow" without quotes to see if that helps to see if there are any files the system can check and repair as needed. Do any other games you may play have similar issues? Is your GW2 folder outside of Program Files? Are you able to try moving GW2 to a different drive to see if that helps? Efaicia.3672 Posted November 12, 2023 Share Posted November 12, 2023 Even after removing ARCdps from my system entirely, the game is still crashing. It is in an unplayable state for me. Everything I attempted last night was just screen freeze and crash over and over and over again. I even turned my graphics ALL THE WAY down and it still happened. this is just since this last patch. Since the Betas this game has run fine with whatever comp and whatever hardware upgrades I've had over the years. it is NOT my comp. it is NOT my internet connection. Giving some of the recommendations in the first post a try, but wont bother confirming anything until I have played long enough without crashing to know for sure. There's a crash since Tuesday's update where the game freezes and/or dumps you to desktop. There are no crash logs generated. I'm surprised you got an error log. Your crash might be unrelated to the one introduced on Tuesday or you're getting an error log because your Nvidia driver is older. Standard troubleshooting steps for mysterious crashes (c0000005 is extremely generic) include removing all third-party plugins and overclocking. Your log also shows a RivaTuner hook. Please try to run the game on as "clean" a system as possible first to isolate where the crash is coming from. casualkenny.9817 Posted November 13, 2023 Share Posted November 13, 2023 (edited) it used to happen infrequently, but its been very bad today. it was ok as recently as 14hrs ago (before i slept). it has been like this since i turned on gw2 today (1hr ago). ref: server time is 12.15pm right now, 13nov can't remain logged in for more than 3min (usually as short as 3 sec) does not happen for any other game. windowed/full doesn't affect. Edit: this first triggered near the end of teq, and after that, the game would crash each time I tried to relogin. There would be a few (2 to 6) streaks of white black white beams flickering across screen then the game would crash. This was resolved after I rebooted comp, for the 3hrs of various activity such as bounties, shatterer (I did not do any other major grp activities after that other than shatterer weekly, which takes less group time than teq).
