I thought the long shaft was suppose to keep you away from the enemy while you can stab them? I cannot brain. Comparing it with FF14 Dragoon's action skills, I want to cry. =/ Sigh. Yeah, the entire point of the spear (sorry) is to create distance. So unless it is thrown or not being used as a spear would traditionally, it's not exactly thematically correct.
