Can't progress Home Sweet Home

So I think I've soft-locked quest progression for a week.
Part of the quest is to "Process wood materials into refined homestead wood at the lumber mill".
Having collected an excess of wood over the years, I crafted my limit.

The next step was to craft a Kodan bed, at which point I realised I didn't have any wool scraps, so I popped to the TP to get some.

When I came back to my Homestead to continue the story, it had reverted to the "Process wood" step, and I can't process any more as I've reached the limit for this week.

Am I missing something, or is there another way to progress past this step?

NVM, managed to progress it by crafting the traditional kodan bed.

Still, might be a good idea to take a look at this quest to try and fix that issue.

I hope you don't need to craft a new bed for every character you do the quest with.

You don't! I left the traditional kodan bed in the spot I first placed it, and can confirm that when reaching that step on subsequent characters the game thinks for a second and then the quest updates.

Processs wood ✔️

Craft traditional kodan bed ✔️

Place the bed ✔️

And Alder and Poky immediately start their "post bed-placing" dialogue. 🙂

Weird because I managed to gather the required refined lumber in one go. But I spent several currencies on it.
