CaptainAngelStar.1479
Is there vampirism or lycanthropy in Tyria?
draxynnic.3719
Not in the typical sense, IIRC. There are shapeshifters, including the norn (although in practice the wolf form skill is... generally just not worth using), but it's not a curse that can be transferred to others. There are also bloodsuckers, including some necromancer skills - but the bloodsuckers are not necessarily undead, and while bloodsucking undead is a possibility, it's more likely to be an undead with a particular set of skills rather than being a specific type of undead defined by the need to drain blood from the living to sustain itself. "Vampire" in Tyria is probably more likely to refer to a giant vampire bat than Dracula.
Kalavier.1097
Vampires are giant non-sapient bat like creatures, and otherwise just a style of blood magic(that seems partially inspired by said beasts) You won't find anybody melting in the sun or requiring blood to survive though. No. Blood magic exists with vampiric names that refer to life stealing spells. Any "Vampires" are more inspired by ancient Chinese myths - non-human batlike abominations rather than anything remotely humanoid. No Draculas in Tyria. Same goes for werewolves - the closest you get is norn wolf form but that is completely unrelated to any Wolfman hollywood werewolf. No silver weakness, no curse or uncontrollable feral behavior, etc.

Don't let that be the Twilight of your pursuit, there's entire continents yet to be explored, with such a wooly and maliable lore there's hope still. 2

You can have people who do certain "vampiric" things, but it'd be well, just that. You wouldn't be a proper "typical" vampire who can't go into the sun or requires blood to survive. Just more of using blood to boost your magical power and such.

"Twilight" that made me chuckle. And that is true, as I can always hope.
GeraldBC.4927
There are 'vampire beasts' that drink blood and are vaguely bat-like but those are nothing like fantasy vampires. No speech, no human form, nothing like that, they're just an animal. They're basically just an oversized version of south american vampire bats.
