And what was that bug?

I read that, and could barely follow it. What is the bug supposed to be? All I could get out of it, is that Sand Savant is less DPS when it should be. I don't see how stacking Shades for more DPS is a bug.

We discussed this on the old forum. OP and other people, myself included, noticed that shades had stacking effects. We got more torment and attacks when shades were stacked. This directly contradicted the claim of the developer in a video, where said developer directly stated that shade stacking should NOT be a thing.

The issue is: It is a thing. This makes Sand Savant a super high DPS loss (because shade stacking isn't a thing, AND because demonic lore), on top of our DPS being reliant on it. If we do not bring this to the dev's attention this way, then it may eventually get bugfixed by accident. We should rather try to have an input how (and if) it gets fixed. If we don't, it'll just be "fixed" one day and we'll all be very sorry indeed.

The F2,3,4,5 tooltips say that these skills affect every target only once. But the Manifest Sand Shade (F1) tooltip says that you and your shade.s strike on every F-skill usage. To me 3 shade.s and the player should be 4 (F1) strikes then but only one strike of the F2,3,4,5 component. This is currently the case and deals huge amounts of (power and condi) damage when the player and all shade.s are stacked at one point.

ANet should not nerf that at all as the area is only a 180 radius and the build-up-time is too long to be useful in any PvP environment but this behavior is a key component of the (finally competitive!) scourge PvE DPS.

Pretty much.

As I have said before its a great way to boost PvE without affecting PvP.

The extra damage from the F5 is the same.

Uh... this confused the shit out of me. It'd be better to just use Malice, cause you'd cap everything anway then. Use a Malice Sigil with another Sigil, like Earth, Bursting, or Geomancy.

It's probably just as viable, though you'd want to replace the poison duration sigil with a torment duration sigil since you do significantly more torment then poison.

Also you'd want a few more sinister armor pieces since you're not accounting for the minimum 75 expertise you get by having a shade out.

I had so much fun playing scourge on raid reset. The build : http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vRAQRArf7YnE9CV3gt1Ae3A83gFhBLKAkAeAUThsQvSvuuXDsA-jByXABAsPwo6HyWJIdPBgGXY4vTCwwK/mV9n4BBATSgVVqqqKpAWUZF-eNot sure about Sigil of torment if this is better or not than geo.For example :Sab : https://imgur.com/a/qQTrpMo : https://imgur.com/a/IBe6kGors : https://imgur.com/a/jVH9I

Thoses are first timer as scourge, I can improve for sure but they are way higher than Reaper condi. I'm happy with that !

Thank you for sharing. As we progress, it will be interesting to see where we land.
