Returning player and boost to 80

Hello,

I've played GW2 on and off since release, and stopped to play just before HoT, but last month I've received both HoT and PoF as a gift a got back in the game.How many changes, but I love most of them!Right now I have a 80 Warrior (berserker) with awful equipment getting mounts in PoF, an 80 ranger (druid) lost in HoT jungles and a 76 Guardian leveling, plus a lot of alts in mid levels (20 to 40).My main activity is exploration, Open World PvE and some WvW, mostly solo having little time to play, at odd times and needing to go afk frequently.

Now I have these 2 "boost to 80" tokens and I don't know how to use them.I'd like to boost a class (or two) decent for my activities, fun to play, possibly self sufficient and not overly complicated.Any advice?

With War, Ranger, Guard you really don't need to use the booster and guard at lv 76 just spend a little time and get him to 80.Fortunately all 3 are currently among top in Exploration, WvW, Group contents (required meta build) and solo, but ranger are a bit ahead the other two in term of solo play because of pets and pewpewLB (pets will protect you while afking which kinda nice just don't do this in dun/frac).

Edited : If you really want to start fresh then i recommend boost mesmer up and get either Mirage or Chrono, hella fun to play, unique experience non other mmo can offer, required skills to play, pretty worth it.

Thank you for the advice!I'm levelling the Guardian (so near to 80).

I'm really curious about your advice on the mesemer,I0ve never leveled one more than level 20.Any advice on what elite could be nearer to my playstyle, or at least more "forgiving"?

• Mesmer - Check this out https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/30394/open-world-domination-mirage#latest i think watch those vids prob enough, leveling a mesmer can be very painful thats why i suggested the booster.

• If you are going to play guard then i would recommend "Dragon Hunter", raw power build with big AoE, decent healing, excellent in both melee and ranged, if u are into crafting then i highly suggest having Marauder gear Power/Precision/Vital/Ferocity due to guard low HP pool, full Berserker is fine but Marauder serve you better in term of solo (you will get around 15k+ HP while wearing full Marauder in exchange for 10% dps from Berserker).

• Ranger in general open world then Berserker is more than enough, i would go with "Soulbeast" first cuz you can freely switch between pet and petless ranger.

• "Forgiving" here i will assume you are talking about Dungeons because open world and exploration anything work really, Normal dungeons are worthless nowaday unless you are into Fashions so they are the same as open world, BUT Fractal and Raid there are hardly such thing as "Forgiving", you have to run meta or get kicked out, friendly group or guildmates prob get rid of this problem tho.

Necro and ele are decent for OW PvE and wvw, they have lots of aoe and have good sustain with the right build. U can test the class before spending the booster as well, bear that in mind.
