@dev Can we get some Scrapper love and Rework their traits/Up their overall performance?

With the current state of the game and ALL these bugs/glitches with the gyro theirs no way they are going to be viable AT all even after the patch balance drop. Some of the trait lines READS well on paper but what purpose do some of them really hold if you arent able to use the gyro properly at all?

Forcing them to be "tank" is cool and all but they need to have better overall trait that can help them "tank" better with the current elites out otherwise their going to always be shit tier... while adaptive armor isn't working properly , gyro not functioning right and every other trait not really giving them anything besides a small boost into tanking a bit more.

also keep in mind their field combo are somewhat weak due to the hammer abilities duration also being to short, Example: Using Hammer 5 with hammer 2...It only send out 1BOLT max.... Power necros / guardians can do their own little combo Much much better with a longer duration with their spin. Same can be said for Hammer 4 duration being way to short, Please take a look into scrapper and fix these issues so we can have more of a diverse engi class because ALL we really got at the moment that's viable is Holo..... Core isn't anywhere where it should be and scrapper has a wall of bugs that needs to be fixed.

In Short Things That Should be Looked AT:

Some of the biggest problems lie in just how buggy the scrapper's design is:

  1. Gyros have some of the wonkiest patching and targeting AI I've seen, they behave even worse than minions do. They can't even keep up with the engineer running at normal speed, let alone super speed or swiftness.
  2. Adaptive armor's behavior is completely unpredictable. It does not behave like it should (IE, permanent 1 barrier bug, not activating on light hits, activating once in a fight, then stopping, etc).
  3. Function gyro specifically is still bugged. Not sure why it's taking this long for a hotfix to drop. Other classes have seen bugs much less important get fixed much more quickly.
  4. Barrier provided by scrapper traits/skills scales VERY poorly with healing power.
  5. With all the power creep from PoF and Scourge being a very real threat to Scrapper's very existence, this is not the time for bugs to completely destroy the "buffs" you've added to help scrapper stop being the worst elite spec.

@Ben Phongluangtham.1065 get some of the devs involved with scrapper please, toss a word out or anything.

I do not think you have a clue what will be viable after the patch if we are to be honest. You have to realize every other profession out there is getting similar nerfs.

I think we all agree that bugged traits need to be fixed. Though you declare we need better traits overall. Which traits need to be better? How do they need to be better?

You are posting a lot of words while saying little to nothing at all. Please, offer some specifics or details and not just just random complaining and platitudes.

For example, look at how Vagrant.7206 mentions specific issues and then details why they are a problem. Doing so stimulates a discussion of the resolutions of the problem, rather than creating a discussion about how things we already know are broke and bugged are actually broken and bugged.

Pretty much what he said is what im aimming at.... He and I are working on things together pass few weeks with both holo and scrapper.

If you play competitive AT on a daily you'll know that the nerf to druid coming are going to pretty much remove them from meta standard team comps leaving warrior and possibly bunker mesmer around still. With the Nerf to Holo and a few other class scrappers "on paper" are going to be pretty damn solid again however In order for that to happen the list that Vag brought up needs to be address... Otherwise they'll still pretty useless unless your focusing on WvW which is completely different from the Spvp/Rank Pvp im talking about overall.
