About moving from EU to US server

This probably has been asked before many times, but could not find a concrete answer in the wiki and/or other places. I am thinking of moving to the US server from the EU due to latency issues and schedules. My question is: What happens to my guild when I move to the US server? I am leading a guild and a friend told me I would have to kick everyone out or pass leadership to someone else. I am aware Wiki says guilds are global and that players within different regions cannot interact with each other. So, wondering if anyone has the experience of being a guild leader and switching your account from the EU to the US or vice-versa.

Everything is global except the process of actually meeting players in-game in a map. That said, while you'll still be able to talk with your guild, you won't be able to join them in the guild hall, on guild missions etc. so you may need to find another guild.

If you're worried, promote someone else to the same rank before transferring.

You can chat with anyone between the EU and US servers, but cannot play with them. IF playing mostly wvw people that like that have to play on the same server in EU or US servers

When you move to NA server.. everything in the guild remain the same.. you will still be able to chat with guildies in the chat window however you are not able to physically play with any EU players. So technically you can still lead the guild and continue to expand the guild in NA server by inviting new members from NA. Only down side is the existing EU players that stay in EU can not play with you other that just to socialise in guild chat. You can always move back to EU anytime.. two weeks after you moved a server.
