condi dps brand gear

for raid/fractal i notice on various site (snowcrow/metabattle) the condi dps have mix of viper/sinister/grieving. is there reason for this? maybe try to achieve certain condi duration, pwr, etc?

Burning makes up the vast majority of the damage on condi firebrand (~70-75% , power ~20%, bleeding ~5%) so you can use balthazar's rune for condi setups and in fractals on cQB (due to fractal potions).

By doing this you would want to maximize condition damage , followed by power, and precision to hit crit cap or ferocity. The snowcrows build for cQB reaches 100% burn duration via infusions. You could run smoldering sigil, balthazar rune , plus sinister or grieving pieces if you want to drop bleeding from the sigil of earth. The additional ferocity only would add about 9% to power damage , i.e. ~2% of overall damage.

so basically max burn duration, follow by power, then bleed. i'm assuming max burn duration base on buff such as quick/alac/might/fury, not unbuffed character?so would it be better to stack sinister/griev gear, and use smolder sigil for weapon? this will give more power/precision than viper?

There's no expertise profession specific boons right now (warrior banners and Pinpoint Distribution is a seldom-used condition damage bonus), so you need to look at whatever you get from traits, food (up to 15%), sigil (up to 20%), and runes (the largest duration bonus is 50% on balthazar rune or ~50% on baelfire on viper/grieving/sinister).

For fractals in particular you can use the discretize calculator , which can handle condition damage unlike snowcrows' calculator which can only do power damage:https://old.discretize.eu/Assuming 75% burning, 20% power, 5% bleeding...If you set it to 150AR and the CFB preset, unchecking spotter (if you are using CFB you probably have a condi soulbeast) + frost spirit + bane signet you get the following:With Balthazar rune , bursting sigil x2 (superior + major), Beef Rendang (100 condition damage, 70 expertise) , toxic maintenance oil --- Damage Indicator 1480

With Baelfire rune you get a similar result , the damage indicator is around 1450 and burn ticks should exceed 1K damage. If you run something such as Firebrand or Elementalist rune you will need to take a smoldering sigil instead of major bursting sigil.
