Didn't actually reliese you replied however. Statistics from gw2efficency prove that the most hours.played is guardian and guardian is played by the highest amounts of accounts by a large margin. 

 

So I'd argue that is actually completely incorrect. 

 

Necromancer is below ranger in actual both play time and accounts who own one. Guardian is like over 3% higher in sheer hours played across all accounts. 

 

The data defintly doesn't reflect necromancer being the highest played proffession. It's never gonna be 100% accurate. But any data actually on this does show guardian as the most played. There's litterally 0 data to say necro is the most played.
