Sometimes site is not opening. Instead of that browser shows a window with ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID error. Happens on PC and phone. Today is the first time.
It worked for me everyday till this evening. And furthermore, it's not a constant thing, it happens temporarily. Sometimes it's not opening, sometimes it opens normally.
I am getting the same message regarding the certificate. I cannot access it using Chrome as Chrome does not let me bypass it.
In Firefox I can get it to make an exception but it still throws the "NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID" Error. PLease look into your certificate.
Added the info text given in Chrome:
_www.guildwars2.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to www.guildwars2.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be www.guildwars2.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.
You cannot visit www.guildwars2.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later._

Same here. Seems like the certificate has just been renewed (valid from is today) and is only covering the domains guildwars2.com and *.guildwars2.com. Probably whoever renewed it forgot about *.arena.net.. 😅

Hi all, just wanted to confirm that this has been taken care of--we did some updates yesterday, and everything should be good now.
I dread certificate renewal time. It generally takes 6 to 8 hours of work to update all my servers and systems at work when it is renewal time.

Works fine for me on Firefox and Chrome.

Dunno. Hope it clears up for you. Does it act the same on all browsers, or just a specific one?

9652e72e84204f61.png ok it's fix.
It opens sometimes. But sometimes it's not. Wait for some time.
I always open, but slowly .
Are you on a network with a broken transparent(or not so transparent...) proxy
You can check the certificate details in your browser. Looks fine in mine(as expected since I am not experiencing any issue)

.. 😅I think the OP is talking about the Guild Wars 2 Official site.
Regardless, I have no issue opening the ArenaNet site, as well.
Yup, seems like they fixed the certificate for the account page at least 😊. Now it’s issued to
*.arena.net
.Mine hasn't changed. Two different certificates at two different sites.
It seems to affect only certain people/browsers, I guess.
