cryorion.9532
Obligatory thread. This will never stop. The issue is real and outrageous! As everyone surely knows, heavy PvE raid legendary armor has dye issues. Here you can see how different are Shadow Abyss and Grave dyes in neutral light on normal armor.https://i.imgur.com/AKkRaB8.png https://i.imgur.com/UAEPlWS.pngHere you can see the sad reality, where legendary armor (shoulders, chest and gloves) is dyed with Shadow Abyssand bottom Requirem armor (pants and boots) is dyed with Grave dye. Despite Requirem armor having shiny/glossy layer too, it is much darker compared to Shadow Abyss on heavy legendary armor. Even 3rd glow channel is the same (Lapis dye), but it clearly looks totally different.https://i.imgur.com/fmso4Uf.jpgAnother very sad thing is how badly are dyes applied to glowing parts of armor and sometimes the glow is not visible (it's like it was overshadowed).Just see difference between Requirem armor glow parts and legendary armor ones (Permafrost and Magma dyes in pictures).https://i.imgur.com/IuF4Zae.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CIKlq2u.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/T8BiROC.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9yXhbo6.jpgNot to mention that when you go into combat mode (legendary armor "opens"), the wing effect is non-dyeable and doesn't look legendary at all. Maybe if it was dyeable, it would look much better. Now check Mistforged Glorious Hero's Breastplate glow effect (and the radiant effect on the back). It is good example of how glow and radiant effect should look like. The saddest thing is that there is no acknowledgement from Anet about this issue, either just saying that the armor will stay as it is forever or they actually fix and improveone of the best looking, unique, prestigious and exclusive armors in game. Please, be vocal about this issue. Don't give up!(pictures were taken on highest settings with native sampling)

I don't think they know what's causing this or how to fix it to be quite frank.
zealex.9410
Its been "we are looking into it" for like 2 years now. Maybe they found a fix half way through but desided they didnt like the result so they scraped the fix to work on a diff one. So by the end of year 2 they can come out and say "well the fix took 1 year twice".
