Runecrafters Salvage-o-Matic dosen't work

As per title, it says 100% chance of salvaging upgrades, I used it earlier on a Twin-Swords exotic with a Sigil of Force and it destroyed it with no Sigil just a few mats, so thats 600 gems wasted buying it and lost a 4g Sigil.

It salvages upgrades, it does not extract/recover them. Salvaging an upgrade gives you the lucent crafting material that you use to craft upgrades. Extracting/Recovering an upgrade gives you the upgrade. PS: The telling name "Runecrafter's salvage-o-matic" is a pretty clear indication that it is for people who want to craft runes (and thus need the mats for it that you notice getting).

it's a long-term benefit: the drop rate of symbols and charms is low, so it adds value only after 100s and 1000s of salvages.

That said, if you just bought the item, contact Support. There's a good chance they will be able to honor a polite refund request if done within a week or three.
