whats the easiest way to switch gears between char? is there something similar to gear storage for the char equipment and build template?

Apparently they are working on a legendary armory that will do that, though only for legendary items. Otherwise you have to drag and drop into the bank or shared slots, then equip on the other character.
Either the bank or (if you have them) shared inventory slots.
Just make sure whatever you're sharing isn't soul bound - if it is then only the character it's bound to can use it.

Work patiently and continuously over time to kit each toon out with their own gear. Also realize that "good enough" can be reached without "meta" gear a lot of the time. The only caveat, IMO, is trinkets. Season 3 maps for the win with stat-selectable ascended trinkets for everyone! And then you just need a few shared slots for swapping endless harvesting tools and the copper fed salvageomatic.
