Help with Axemaster Gwillion

Recommended Posts

I know one needs the stealth detection to see this HoT Boss, but how does one avoid his Head Shot attack? He doesn't even need LOS to hit with it and its a one-shot-down attack. It seems unreasonably difficult. Any help on mechanics would be appreciated.

^ This. The only other option is to fight him with a big group of player. Since there is a limit to how many players he can target with that ability, you might be able to escape it if you are lucky. But really, breaking the defiance bar is the way to go.

That ability can target quite a few people. If there are actually that many people around there shouldn't be any issue with breaking the bar unless everyone is also clueless about the mechanic.

The other way to cheese it is to drop combat and get on a mount. It will cause you to dismount but you won't die.

@Gorkus.7496 said:Thanks for the insight. Next time I'll look for a bigger group and focus on the defiance bar. I think there were 3 or 4 of us and all of us were getting downed rather quickly, spending too much time attempting res.

The keypoints is that you should be approaching as a group and not one at a time. Also he might start using that skill as soon as he is engaged so you have to be ready for the CC ASAP. The defiance bar needs to be prioritized over everything else. When the bar isn't up prioritize clearing the adds over trying to kill him. As with everything else in the game try to stay behind/to the side of him unless you have aggro. For ressing try to do it from maximum range while staying opposite of where he is.
