  1. As in revenant got a 3rd support spec and was hoping I would switch to thief, then got presented with another support spec
  2. Another hybrid support espec for revenant and lazy design - paired with the dissapointment of the rest of the especs is the nail in the coffin for me was hoping id switch from rev to thief but again its just another support
  3. "so revenant is a class all about swapping between 2 legends, what shall we do with the next one? - I know lets make it a legend that lets you swap between 2 legends!!!" seriously who came up with such a lazy idea Unfortunately this e-spec will probably make me change mains this expansion
  4. in the expansions ALOT of areas are unreachable without the associated expansions mechanics IE. gliders, mounts or powers gained through mastery points so without those youd be hitting walls you cant get over
  5. I main Rev and this is my setup; my f1-f4 skills are m5, m4, shift-m5, shift-m4 weapon skills 1, 2, 3, 4, R then utilities from heal to elite are C, Q, E, V, X Weapon swap G Dodge on Ctrl
  6. yeah that would be a good solution I hate that, too. I have the perfect outfit for my only Sylvari character, but the disproportionally fat legs ruin everything. It just looks comical. and for real it really does look comical, i just wish there was a way for Anet to see this broken shiz
  7. It's the Awakened Zealot outfit. :) On topic, though: this is a male human vs. a male sylvari. They're both wearing the exact same thing (sorry about the wonky colors for the sylvari; my bad).floof yikes :# this is the epitome of what this post is trying to explain Also look at the foot size and the leg angle/knee compared, its almost like they are standing locked-knee with hyperflexible joints, to the point where the knees are bending the other way like a horse :astonished:
  8. a huge dark forest with giant trees and maybe more a nighttime-sylvari type map like the film Avatar where the trees are lit up at night, also maybe more medieval themed maps and darker eerie maps in general
  9. The following is an example of a male sylvari set that actually fits, Purely due to the fact that there is simply NO armour where it would be broken/incorrectly rigged on the sylvari model, also with a bonus of having boots which extend the length of the foot.. I use this for all of my sylvari now cause its a real shame nothing fits in the same way: Since GW2 has such horizontal progression it doesn't make sense from a business perspective not to make changes to character models and fixing glaring issues like this over the years seeing as alot of endgame content comes through unlocking skins/transmogs
  10. This is exactly how I feel too, "It's rendered so many armor pieces (and gem store outfits) unattractive to me." It really does look like the scaling on sylvari legs is broken because their actual thighs are skinny af. Every outfit with this belling gives male sylvari unnaturally large hips/waist, which almost makes outfits/clothing look almost feminine. You've shown a really good example and here are some more: Even without a butt skirt, the thighs are abnormally thicker than the rest of the bodyanother example here shows the scallywag set, look at the proportions Its also the tiny feet and almost backwards curved legs position too which seem broken - seriously who thought this looked normal...
  11. Why does male sylvari huge butt/thighs ruin pretty much every outfit and legs? hasnt anyone seen how big 'skirt' models are on them from the side
  12. it would surely help a little - Escape from Tarkov does a similar thing and asks for CAPTCHA when clicking purchase too quickly in its auction house - albeit its probably a low level sort of fix but probably effective
  13. Quite a pessimistic view, the balance of the class dictates that, so its rather subjective at this point to make that statement
  14. I was thinking a set of our own new abilities which resemble other classes rather
  15. So if anyone has seen Hunter x Hunter, one of the protagonists called Chrollo Lucilfer has the ability to 'steal' other's magical abilities, storing them and using them for himself, I thought that this could be a cool concept for Thief where one could have a skillset based on stolen abilities from all the other classes, making him a jack of all trades From the HxH wikipedia:Chrollo's Nen ability allows him to steal the Nen ability of other people to use them as his own through a conjured book known as the "Bandit's Secret" https://hunterxhunter.fandom.com/wiki/Chrollo_Lucilfer#Nen This would look extra cool with the The Binding of Ipos Legendary
  16. I've noticed recently, I have no scythe at all equipped during reaper shroud Im not sure yet what replicates it but its a common occurrence after transforming that I am pretty much just punching my enemies, I have noticed this only occurs during Conquest matches too
  17. id like to see greatsword skills with Iai-type attacks attached to it although alot of the greatswords are pretty huge or maybe that we would use Axes in mainhand, but spin them so fast that when they are thrown that they resemble shuriken B)
  18. So after the finishing screen and before I try to return to the mists, I get stuck and disconnected, requiring me to login into my character after every match "The game client lost its connection to the server."Error code is Code=7:11:3:202:101
  19. The two points overlap, and depending on the state of the game may even align. But if you go by the latter, then regardless of balance at least you'll always enjoy the gameplay to some extent. However one issue in all this is if you are aware of how Anet tend to handle balance when it comes to mesmer in general - sure there have been good changes over the years, but often there doesn't seem to be a final goal in mind, and knee-jerk changes tend to be of the order of crude 50% nerfs or virtual deletion, rather than careful shaves. That and regardless of how weak or strong mesmer is relative to other classes, you will always get a disproportionate amount of hate from the community, because alongside thief, it seems most people tend to not enjoy fighting against trickster/rogue characters compared with "straight to the face" (as Grunt said in Mass Effect 2) supposedly "honourable" characters. So just be aware to have some thick skin if wanting to play mesmer in pvp or wvw for that matter. I am usually swayed by picking classes for competitive reasons, and have also just been trying out thief just now in the pvp lobby, Thief does seem pretty fun, but I would like to stick by my choice this time though and stay mesmer, also because I will have map completion Yeah I get you, that does sound kind of shitty That sort of mentality has never made sense to me, its something you deal with when it comes to any pvp game so im prepared for whatever illogical hate I would get xD I've also come from alot of WoW pvp, but I feel more attached to characters in gw2 than I do in wow
  20. Thanks for the help my man, seen some of your other posts and you know your shi* so I appreciate the help, I think I will stick with exotic berserkers gear RN and test out both chrono and mirage to find out which I prefer Is this only because its not FOTM? I have owned gw2 for a long time but never actually commited any time to it until now, but have seen mesmer as meta picks in pvp multiple times ive checked, surely this is subjective to change? Thanks very much mate, like you said I haven't really struggled in open world pve at all in berserkers gear, and my playstyle is definitely more inclined toward a greater offence over defense; so the extra durability is not needed. I will keep my exotic carrion set on one of my tabs but will continue building upon the power set Is anyone able to recommend me weapon types to use in pvp/pve?I know that GS is absurdly strong, but not sure if that is just for a certain elite spec or not? Cheers again
  21. Hi I just recently dinged 80 on my Mesmer and have been leveling up Mirage I purchased a set of exotic Carrion gear with trinks and accessories and have been using a staff Mirage condi build for open world pve while i complete world map completion with my gf who is still leveling up I spoke to some people who said that power builds are better for that sort of content and got myself a set of exotic Berserkers gear also, which I have tried using with GS and Sw/(sw/focus) Im not entirely sure which is stronger right now, I need some help as to what gear i should be using, and the right build for the content I want to be doing, I want to first complete the world map(at 65% atm) Should I also stick with Mirage or switch to levelling Chrono? Im also looking to dip into doing PVP so what build and gear should I be using there? Also further down the line, which ascended pieces should I be aiming for as the first ascended pieces to get? I have looked at Metabattle but its not exactly clear on gear, and the condi staff build is listed as a top open world build? while ive been told otherwise, any help would be much appreciated, cheers
