Thanks for answering @Tanek.5983 @CETheLucid.3964 i saw it now, so after saying that the skills has stopped being greyed out in the menu im curious now Tanek of the property of the skills of your sword in holosmith and not having weaponmaster training. The reason of saying that everyone after Soto release is affected is because the expac and the weaponmater training released the same day if im not mistaken, the thing im curious now about this is if the problem is the inclussion of weaponmaster training in the game in general or is the unlocking of this feature in the account what broke the weapon, as far as i can test and i said before i leveled an engineer without touching the sword until i have holosmith unlocked, equipped and i was level 80 and the bug was still there with the weapon.
  2. I have checked yesterday with all the classes and i think is only the engineer sword. First, if im not mistaken (someone correct me if im wrong) i think the engineer sword is the only weapon in the game that have a mechanic linked to his subclass, no other weapon have a change based on his elite spec excep of this one and maybe the rifle in thief (and i have checked it and even if the values whithout malice are kitten is working as intended), and every other weapon in every other class is glowing like it should in the menu except for our sword. Again to every new engineer is like not having a weapon just because of the date of creation as a result of "reasons" out of our hand.

No no, the fact that every engineer created after Soto release don`t have the holosmith version of the sword, i don`t want to derive in the elementalist section about a bug of the engineer but here you have the bug report showing the problem if you want to know more. Talking about the heal tempest yeah i gree i don`t get how our two more important traits share a section in grandmaster section of the tempest section when they should know by know that to be a healer you need either alacrity or quickness and not let us take the healing auras witch is something that could fix part of the problem. Going back to elementalist and the pistol, yeah i don`t get why this class must be the one with the less armor, less health and with the most complicated rotation without seen any benefict to it and to me the pistol aggravate it. First the orb mechanic, like catalyst they could have give us a way to track the energy, orbs etc better, like i post before doesn`t make sense that as a charr y can`t see half of my orbs because i have them inside my body while moving instead of having an interface with 4 circles or something like that. And second each of the specs have a mechanic that complicate more the ele class, tempest being the less with a problem because of only being overcharges but lets take a look at weaver for example, you have four elements to track, double if you want to think that changing element in this spec only change half the weapon skills, then you have the double attacks which mean tracking single elements skills plus your two elements attack, and now track also the orbs of the pistols to see if you can follow the order of your rotation or you kitten it and have to alternate something add to that some of the worst utilities a class have with the low health and armor of the class without any clear reward and i easily get why ele is problably the less popular class.
  4. Is heal tempest so bad now? Came back for Soto and having my engineer broken because of a bug Anet doesn`t seem to care i started an Ele four months ago as a main. I too think the pistol suck as a weapon and that we didn`t need it how it was created but to know that our support option is the worst too is pretty heartbreaking.
  5. Nope nothing, already explained to support this problem two times and begged Rubi to pass this too, not answer as well. I know of other people here in the forums and engineers i know in game that have reported and explained it to support too and only the pr answer of "this problems take time to fix" to all of us. So yeah not even acknowledged by Anet.

  7. Yep still fighting in my other post, i don`t know if they want to wait to have half the engineers without being able to use the sword in holosmith or what because this affect everyone that created one after August of last year in pve and WvW.

Thank you so much @Nitsirk.2357for compiling the problems found in a small and readable post (mine are what happen when you found more problems inside this bug in the meantime jajaja) Also this patch have not fixed this yet i have checked it and half of the engineers are still bugged. In less than a week we made 8 months of this bug and sorry but i don`t dare to give hours of time to a class that have one less weapon just because of the date i created the character. Edit: Wait, they have fixed the bug of having the autoattack reduce the cd of the skills 3 seconds outside of holosmith but not that we can`t use the sword skills like it should in holosmith, this is sad, for the first time in 12 years Anet, what is wrong with you?
  10. Okay maybe it is fixed already because i haven`t touch the game in two weeks since they blocked this hero point, but if it`s not the case, isn`t it weird how long Anet is taking to fix this one and others really big bugs lately?

Oh? thats new info in fact, but still i don`t think is a holo problem, i mean mainly with the spec, see, before weapon master training in soto release, this problem didn`t existed because the only way to equip the sword was when at level 80 you unlocked the holo spec, you take the spec, then, you equip the sword and boom 3 new skills are unlocked only for this spec, but because of this bug now you don`t learn the skills ( you don`t get the message of you have learned x, x and x skill) like with other weapons when you equip them for the first time, the sword doesn`t recognize the changes to the holo spec because of the new created basic version to use without heat. The people that have an old engineer and now have found this bug even unlocking holo spec now should be because they didn`t have the sword skills unlocked before. In fact other thing that i have discovered this week that show that the problem it`s to the people that don`t have the sword unlocked before weapon master training release [apart from the example that the weapon don`t have this problem in pvp (because in this mode the game recognize that all the weapon are learner)] is that after anyone create a new engineer and finish the prologue at level 2 you should have only two skills unlocked with any weapon and at level 3 you unlock the third one, BUT with the sword because you never learn the skills even at level 2 for some reason the engineer with the sword is the only class that have 3 skills unlocked. Even witch all that im gonna change the tittle to add the people that have an old engineer but didn`t unlocked the sword before Soto release, because now this bug include even more people, thanks Adonaj.

I think is more people like Sploogesque and his comment in this post before, engineers that has been created before weapon master training release that don`t suffer this bug and don`t get what we are talking about, the reason why i think Anet thinks that everything is fine with the weapon and don`t acknowledge the bug. To know and suffer this bug you have to be a new player or at least a new engineer after august of 2023 and have unlocked the level 80 and holosmith in pve. Still, i think that having a weapon broken (and practically one less weapon) for new people in the class just because the character was created after a date is a big enough problem and a disadvantage to take a look.
  13. Is not possible to bypass this bug using the tokens of wvw? For the ones that want at least the gift of exploration and the hero point? Or the tokens doesn`t reward this point now?

Nothing matter i have tried a lof of ways to maybe fix the issue losing a lot of time, the last one, leveling two engineers, one using the sword since the start, the other not using the sword until i have holosmith unlocked, nothing, you don`t learn the skills like other weapons, you already know them and because of that you skills are still greyed out in the menu and not recognize the changes of the holosmith spec to the weapon, compared to pvp where this doesn´t happen, only pve and wvsw. The only thing that matter is: have you created an engineer after weapon master training on the 22 of august of 2023? If yes then you are kittened the bug always happen and don`t have a fix until Anet kittening take a look at it. You have all others and myself have done and discovered in my post in the bug section since the first post in september 2023. Still fighting anet to acknowledge this bug and fix it, having a weapon broken just because you created an engineer in soto and not before is not a small bug.
  15. Hey great they fixed the claw of jormag weekly, i suposse Anet now are gonna have time to fix something as big as having a weapon and his 3 skills bugged for his main spec right? right?... (insert star wars meme here) Also happy for the vault fix don`t get confused but kittening hell another hotfix without this looked up.

Only daily and weekly activities? kittening hell i have been waiting since soto release for a fix to the sword so i can play engineer holosmith with that weapon this expansion and still is bugged and unusuable. Not one skill, not a quest, not a reward, a kittening complete weapon, im not even surprised that half the weekly doesn`t work lately.

Je yeah good luck with this bug to you too Dotveg and im really being empathic and serious, im still fighting having a weapon unusuable because of a bug (the engineer sword) since nearly the same time as you with this skin and here we are yet both of us with the problem still persisting. I don`t know what happened after Soto with the bug fixing but....

Doesn`t matter don`t try it, i have already lose the time leveling two engineers both ways to test it, one not even touching the sword until i was 80 and with the holosmith spec unlocked and equiped and the other, the human i said, normal leveling using the sword etc, both engineer have the same bug and as i have already tested with more people any engineer created after weapon master training has his sword in holosmith bugged, doesn`t matter having an account from 12 years like myself or having a new account like a friend of the guild, if the engineer is created after weapon master training release, doesn`t properly learn to use the sword and the game doesn`t recognize the changes the weapon should have being a holosmith and having the heat mechanic.
  19. Oh i didn`t knew that, you should repost this in my post in bug section Jason, another thing to the list to add to the bugged sword unfortunately, and yet no fix from anet, not even acknowledgement.

Another example of the problem still not fixed and one that any engineer who know the sword can see is working wrong https://imgur.com/a/LWb5d3s as an holosmith how is possible that y throw two edges? with no heat? i should only throw one edge, 3 or five in this spec. Throwing two is only that only should happen if you are a mechanist, scrapper or core, and why? because you have no heat mechanic.
  21. Sploogesque it`t been 7 months with the sword bug im fighting, i don`t expect anything fixed for engineers as a priority xd

Also to anyone curious that doesn`t want to read all the post before this one to resume: the sword doesn`t use heat in holosmith spec and just use the values, damage and skills of outside of the holosmith to any new engineer created after soto release, it`s like if rifle in deadeye didn`t use malice and you didn`t get any benefict of kneel.
