This is a highly valid point that makes me feel good about my life. I agree this is probably an unintended consequence which evidently impacts on individuals but am unsure that many people have been offended to warrant a fix. I'm sorry you found the banker inappropriate....lmao

Minion rework into valid power build seems logical, I would quite like managing health to summon more minions, they could balance this by putting a dps cap on individual minions. It would be really cool having to micromanage those kittens through raid mechanics and to have a valid power build.

Just try to ignore it I guess. There are a lot more liquid infusions around than people realise which do pass hands quite commonly. I have acquired 3 queen bees this year and 11 permafrost Dyes however, like most players who do this my goal is not trying to make money long term. It just makes sense to buy these items given the drop rate and proportion of players that have them who are largely inactive. Its pretty much a wealth thing, if you know what to do with your money you never won't be able to afford something you want.

You saw barely an improvement because the i5 4460 and i7 4790S are the same (both released for 2014). The marginal improvement you saw was due to slight turbo clock speed difference. Both the i5 and i7 have a base of 3.2 but the i5 turbos to 3.4 and the i7 goes to 4.0 Other than that, the other differences are also marginal for games, 6mb cache vs 8mb, and hyper-threading which doesn't improve fps for 99% of games, and can sometimes cause worse performance (higher temperature and some games randomly using HT instead of cores). This is why the unlocked i5s were recommended for gamers over an i7 due to both being quad cores for so long, and when you overclocked an i5 it would generally be equal to the i7, and sometimes better as gamers don't need hyper threading. You were better offer buying an unlocked i5 with a better cooler and overclocking it, or saving the money to put toward a new motherboard, ddr4 memory and a more recent i3/i5. To get the highest fps for GW2, you don't buy older i7s, you just get a newer i7, and if someone can't afford that, and don't need high core counts, an unlocked i3/i5 is the best option. Current i3s are quad cores just as older i7s were, but come with better clock speeds, in additions to all the improvements to single core performance over the last several years. Any testing you've done is flawed, as I have a 6700k and an 8700k next to each other, and even between those two there's enough of a performance difference for GW2 (and every other game), let alone comparing the 8700k to a 950. I'm not sure what you've done, but with the 8700k I experience zero stuttering, and I don't drop to 20 fps during metas, or wvw. I even have the game running Supersample, reflections off, character limits Medium, everything maxed, and Vsync off (as Vsync causes random fps issues). I even often times have multiple games running at a time while GW2 is up, and two instances of an Android emulator. FPS isn't just about the specs either, as software can have major impacts. Poor drivers, and no, not just gpu drivers, but anything related to Intel, Microsoft, storage, etc can cause stuttering or performance degradation. Early on I had issues with this desktops for games, lower fps than the 6700k, but I eventually found the cause to be a random Intel driver from a Windows update thanks to it causing a BSoD eventually. Thermals also play a big factor, cpus/gpus need proper cooling and air flow, as well as being cleaned. Not everyone suggests spending 3,000$ getting the new i9 and pairing it with a 2080ti, while it gets the best fps possible for gw2, there's severe diminishing returns per dollar spent beyond a certain point, which is why I always suggest the unlocked i3/5 depending on budget and learning to do light overclocking. You're just wrong but. Like you couldn't be more wrong and I don't think there is a way to explain it that would make sense to you :3 neither of my last two pcs had any aircoooled components (I guess some parts on the mobo inherently). There isn't a writeup for gw2 specifically but this is known for dx9 and there are writeups addressing that. the i7 950 is BiS for this game. Hence older Mobos are inherently BiS (can run the i7 950) this is fact for any server based dx9 game.

It wont drop because we buy everything under and hold it. That's why it's been rising for a month. Then hopefully sell in a spree before buyable on gem store announcement/shrug. The legendary market is worse so just deal.

Well if druid lacks punch how am I going to rec you scrapper? Holo with healing power secondary definitely is used as main healer for groups that know fights and can water combo with an SB. Now seeing as you already know whats viable lets both stop wasting time and play druid or chrono k.

Thanks for your point about the 16 core, the fact remains however (I build pcs as my 9 to 5) that dx9 optimised systems will outperform DX10, 11 and 12 in gw2. I can't explain your outlier except by stating that the new system must be better optimised for DX9. To clarify what you want to maximise what gw2 can do (pet its coding) 4gb vram gpu, dual core i7 950 (best possible cpu, I tested this in metas and Lions Arch), 6-8gb 2400mhz ram (clocking past this wont matter for dx9).

This is quite wrong. The game is coded as such that with optimal hardware and settings you will struggle to hold 40fps in WvW/Lions Arch/Crystal Oasis. This can not be changed in the current engine and hardware isn't the limiter ( you will get similar performance on an i7 chromeboook with onboard as you do on a $3000 PC, I've tested this with my last PC (i7 and gtx 1070) and my new one (amd 4700 and 2080ti). Playing beyond lowest/lowest or low/low is purely for people who are happy with sub 60 fps (pretty constant if not solo) with stutters into the 30s (sometimes 20s :( ). This is unavoidable and I wish we as a community wouldn't recommend people spend money on PCs to combat it. The best thing you can do for gw2 stability is buy a DX9 PC (aka components released when DX9 was standard rather then DX10, 11 or 12) as this will make a meaningful difference.

I want to live in your meta. I think the best advice I can give (given your circumstances) is to play whatever you have the most fun with, as your group obviously doesn't care about clearing things as fast as possible. I just did some math in my head and you could run minstrel holo with healing turret. This seems to fit with your meta and may offer that 'Punch' you're looking for.

Well the post was only 9 hours ago and the bugs been live for ages so they're probably working on the massive amount of bugs impacting things people do in game consistently.

Can confirm, As a raider I started gw2 4 months ago. I quit the game 3.5 months ago after spending about $900 (saves time/enables me to help guild/friends more/have a job ;) ) on quality of life things and completing 1 set of legendary armor/getting griffon/beetle. There isn't enough high end content in game and what is there is only fun for 'raiders' if you have a static (its not fun watching people drop buffs and not strafe out of damage/do less then 25k deeps). Whilst the raids are unique and very satisfying it simply isn't fun to be a high operating member of this community. You get little positive feedback/thanks like you would in other games for assisting with world events and the like (despite the fact you can do most of them with 3 raid groups...….) I found that my very existence outside of raid guilds was offending people as I did want to clear hard content. My last month of playing was purely leading/assisting raid training runs and logging in for statics before realising I was having much more fun with other MMORPG games :( . It wasn't a massive shock, Whilst gw1 was my favourite game ever I had put off gw2 for years as to 1. finish gwamm first and 2. wait for the "casuals" to die off; it never happened and this is their MMO now. That's fine :(

Underwater boss fight in a raid has been screaming to be developed for years.... unfortunately as stated above new players often skip underwater gearing. No ones going to spend money on that (no underwater encounters worth it) and the ascended collections (breather, etc) are quite literally time sinks. Some people that don't use arc and log on together for 3 hours a week (anets 'target customer') may do underwater guild missions occasionally.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you rate healing power? or do you think that minstrel is never BiS? Could I satisfy the Dhuum requirements for example by subbing berserker pieces for power/tough/feroc and keeping diviners for 50-60% BD?

I run 1096 as too many runs had 1 or too people on 1050ish, the other setups are for soulbeasts/FBs. Am also pretty sure i clarified my understanding of toughness by stating how it's not needed if the chrono is hitting 2 and 4 moderately ok. But whatever, will do on the retreating away from lfg front. cheers for the tips on minstrels -1 piece support chrono.
