The wiki is always a great resource for these kinds of questions: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Essence_of_Luck_(exotic) Since you say you have no more use for the lower tier ones, one good method would be to upgrade those to exotic tier with an artificer, if you have time you can get a lot during the Lunar New Year event from the lucky bags. Finally if you are in a hurry you can salvage ectoplasms which gives you a ton of luck. This may seem expensive but remember you will also get Crystalline Dust from this which you can sell on the tp again (or use to upgrade tier 5 to tier 6 crafting components) to make up for the gold you invested.

  4. This thing is so unreliable and unfun that it should be removed from all levels tbh.
  5. So for me, the hardest mechanic is landing on the platform with the grappling hook. In particular, for the higher platforms, I cannot grapple to them as there is no top surface area I can see to land the skill on. Placing the grapple less than perfectly will have you bounce back immediately from the mushroom. It is kind of frustrating to be able to navigate through all CM mechanics but this base fractal mechanic has the team whipe because of the clunkiness of the grapple mechanic. It would be great if you could do something about that.
  6. You don't have to, it automatically fires on all the nodes, resetting them (if they are owned by the enemy team) in the process.

Nah, there are basically two camps in this thread, on one hand there are the people that are calling out to nerf engi and in particular scrapper because they don't know how to counter a recently popular grenade build that has literally only 1 stun break. On the other hand, you have the engi enjoyers that are afraid that it will be nerfed again to not being viable in any higher level competitive gameplay. Up until recently, you would have people being actively toxic against scrapper players demanding they switch or afk. I personally think the easy-to-counter glass cannon builds you see nowadays are a lot healthier for PVP than the bunker meta of half a decade ago. Though I do hope Anet will also buff some other elite specs that haven't been viable in PVP for a while, such as the earlier-mentioned scourge. Scourge by the way used to be a very strong counter against engis due to all the boon corruption.
  8. You can activate the hammer by capping the area for your team, after you cap the hammer will fire.
  9. What is this scourge you are talking about? Never seen it (in pvp at least)...
  10. I'm not so sure where all the hate against engi comes from suddenly. I guess after a recent spike in player engi player count since last monthly tournament people suddenly see a class that has been so long out of the meta that they forgot how to counter it. Engi's are one of the least-played characters in gw2 (https://gw2efficiency.com/account/player-statistics) and I'm not sure that nerfing it's class identity to the extent that it becomes useless will do it any good. The recently popular grenade engi has literally 1 stun break and no stability. Throw some cc on it and stomp it into the ground easily. Get one or two players to run with skills that give revealed (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Revealed) to make it even more easy to see them coming, or just play spell breaker and completely ignore any damage they do.
  11. This is a bit of a vicious cycle though. Sure maybe the revenue from pvp focused players is less than from other modes, but on the other hand, the years-long negligence of sPvP by Anet hasn't done the PVP scene any good. I would be very interested to see what percentage of players played pvp 10 years ago vs now. But I'm pretty convinced that if Anet hadn't had such a lackluster stance towards their own sPvP, we may not have seen the massive bleed-out of players and instead it would have been possible to draw more competitively focused gamers in. But to pull that off, they would have had to address issues with the mode that exist for over a decade. One of which (but not limited to) is better dealing with in-game toxicity, you can have a player grieving a match, reporting and blocking them, and still be matched with them again the next game. You will get punished by the game if you leave a match due to a game crash or people leaving when they felt they played poorly and they want to avoid their teammates from losing rank points, but people who actively throw the match/afk see no consequences. But I don't know, probably they are too late to fix it now anyway. Probably people that used to play 5 or 10 years ago aren't going t come back now if Anet finally fixes it.
