  1. You need to take a look at your population and linking algorithm ANet. How is it that 2 servers in T1 EU with a supposedly high population, not even very high, let alone full. Can go for over 2 weeks and not lose a single skirmish. Clearly you have your figures very wrong and they are both totally stacked with players at all hours of the day. Even if every player on those servers was unbelievably good at the game and the rest of the servers suddenly forgot which keys to press, they would not have the 24/7 coverage to win every skirmish for weeks on end with the population you claim. Back to the drawing board I think. Yes we all know WSR is a bandwagon server that will be abandoned if they lose their link, but such lack of balance is only going to serve to drive people out of the game. Your call.
  2. The issue is that one server should never be more or less permanently locked, constantly unlinked and unable to compete over the period of each MU. Yes, we can raise a blob later Friday and Saturday thanks to a dedicated commander that knows how to rack up the points very efficiently. But we can't spread the player base we have across the rest of the week. Just look back across the MU histories and in most cases, you will see a strong start, but as soon as real life takes over on a Monday morning no chance of competing. These same blobs you mention Gandara having on a weekend evening, return the favour all day Sunday through Friday. Have said it before, any unlinked server is at a disadvantage and you destroy their community. Kodash community was devastated by constant locks and no links, their players moved on, now they are a medium population link server, is that right? And finally, to the self-appointed pro players ;) that claim it's all about the ability of the players on a server, I suggest we have a new server added, perhaps we could call it "Git Gud World" you should all transfer to that, have no roamers or pugs. Put together your meta build blobs only and be locked. Then let's see how well you do constantly fighting in T5. I think you would all transfer out immediately and WSR, Fort Ranik proves the point. Take over a medium population server and abandon it as soon as it gets unlinked, destroying their core community in the process.
  3. Incorrect factually. Not wanting to play is one thing. Claiming that it happens to every unlinked server is factually inaccurate. Purely observation, all unlinked servers with the exception of BB ( that have a strange population cap) end up tier 5 or 4 if lucky. Would be interesting to see these statistics that prove my observations are incorrect. Where do I find this factual information?
  4. The majority of Gandara has actually stopped playing this week. If it's no fun ANet nobody will play. Happens to every server you deny a link to. Who wants to play a game where all you are doing is recapping paper towers and getting blobbed all day?
  5. Congratulations ANet, once again you have made WvW pointless for another 2 months. This will be 6 months out of 8 that Gandara has had no link. Seriously considering going to another game after 14 years with this franchise.
  6. What they need to do is stop disadvantaging servers by not giving them a link. Find a way to do this please ANet as it's the same for every server that stands alone, they drop to Tier 5 (EU) and lose numbers. Happened to Piken, Kodash, Deso, Jade Sea and Gandara on the last links, and poor old WSR are getting annihilated this time around. Only server that gets away with it is BB due to their strength at night keeping them from dropping.
  7. Pretty much everybody that plays WvW I run 14 different builds on roaming ranger alone, each with different gear configuration.
  8. Weird cuz ontop of all the things ranger has over thief including sustain and huge range bursts I've actually been burst from 100-0 by a ranger on multiple classes from stealth as well lmao. Sry ur 2 button unblockable insta kill at 2000 range got a little hit :) were all crying for u. Clearly clueless about ranger mechanics so resort to sarcasm, forum warriors of the world unite.
  9. Ranger already a total pariah in WvW yet they strip away even the few decent skills we have. After all they don't want a class that by its very nature is designed to take down people at range, actually taking down people at range do they. Instead we have to be lambs to the slaughter and close on the heavy classes that are going to out tank us every time. Still I could switch to my staff and evade away as a druid. But nope that got nerfed too, perhaps I should just switch to celestial form but wait, the skills there take so long I'd be dead before I cast them. Perhaps I stay soulbeast and quickly switch between pets to make a decent build, but oh yeah, that has ridiculous cooldown too. Guess I'll just make a new build called the punchbag ranger and support the server by allowing people to punch me while the rest of the server does something useful.
  10. Nice one ANet, nerf the crap out of soulbeast and take away any chance we had of dropping any tanky builds. A thief can hit me out of the blue and drop me before I can do a damn thing about it, but that doesn't get nerfed. As a soulbeast I had to go in and out of beast mode, wait for cooldowns then have one shot at dropping my target before they close the gap and spank my glassy arse, and yet you take that away. Great friggin balancing.
