  1. That would stay indeed, but with an added F3 that you can use to chose a stolen skill to always have and use as part of your kit sounds very cool imo. It gives Thief a lot more flexibility (more ccs, more aoe, self buffs etc)
  2. They really need. Thief is a super bad spot design wise with some specs (DD especially), it looks like they can't figure out how to design around no cooldowns and initiative. I think they should revisit how steal works in DD (or in core thief also tbh), for example they could add a F3 slot where you choose which of the stolen skills you want to equip and always have that one available for use (with a cooldown or initiative cost), while F1 and F2 stays the same. F3 would be a new and fundamental part of the kit, as opposed to F2, which is a random ability that you can't integrate in your build and playstile since it is "rng". F3 could also interact with weapon skills / initiative to create interesting gameplay and rotations (as opposed to our current 2-2-2-2-2-2 rotation). If it would be too much to add a new slot, I'd just replace the F2 with this new mechanic. Rng stolen skills can be kinda fun in OW, but they are completely useless in 99% of the scenarios. Let me know what you guys think
  3. He was (not at the company anymore) a social media manager, so they had no power over design anyways
  4. I did a pool some days ago and results are: about 85% prefer an off-hand over a main-hand (70-80 votes total) But hey Anet is the boss...
  5. The Condi melee role is already filled. You didn't talk about weapons but roles. Not that weapons being hybrid impact the build being Condi or Power anyways
  6. Condi close range already exists (d/d daredevil) I'd rather take a build that is interesting and fun to play instead of a build created to fill a checklist.
  7. Did you also add every condition to golem? The trait from deadly arts gives +2% dmg for each condition of the target They also use food + pressing button as fast as you can
  8. Don't delude me pls. They are giving us axe because they want to butcher Thief, our time has come, gw2 will never have the assassin fantasy. DoomGa Despairge ☹️
  9. well I'd prefer sword, but between no off-hand and axe off-hand i'll take the axe off-hand lol
  10. For the moment is stronger than before tbh, if you're talking about alac dps
  11. Well there is a problem IMO which is: damage is quite higher (you still have a lot of might and fury + quickness), but you lose protection, which makes you a oneshot if you run berserker gear. For example a bandit leader (champion) in kessex hills managed to oneshot me with their projectile attack lol With the old invigorating precision and the loads of damage you do compared to before you could outheal in many situations, but now, I guess it can work in most situations, but if you want to solo champion, bosses etc, still dogshit tier
  12. Sword aa chain is almost as powerful as dagger. With a decent dual wield skill the damage potential for dual swords could be really good. Also new skill 4 and 5 could have damage damage buffs for x seconds or for the next attack (as an example- to prevent the classic spam the strongest skill forever gameplay of daredevil) or another AoE option which is always good on thief. Just some ideas/ examples of what dual swords could provide. And yes ofc they also looks sick
  13. Thief has never had great sustain, with M7 you have perma protection if you use stealth attacks to reset malice and fill it constantly. Since they nerfed Invigorating precision in PvE (for no kittening reason) solo builds are even more dogshit than before. You have low HPs, 0 damage mitigation abilities, and 4/6% lifesteal. This is it with thief
  14. that isn't a new skill at all, it's just a buffed version of the skill
  15. I think rifle also need an easy stealth access in the kit. What's the point of tuning death judgement if you can't use it? You won't be able to have enough stealth access to use death judgement without DE traits/ utilities. Stealth access on deadeye is either: stolen skill (with 5 or + malice) utilities (cantrips, DE elite skill) or the trait that gives stealth then you dodge roll with a rifle equipped. Or as you said they need to come up with a new way to be able to cast death judgement without stealth (but I don't think they will do something like this tbh) Edit: double pistol skill 3 has 5 ini cost but gives back 2 ini at the end of a full cast, so it costs 3 ini and cast time is 1 and a half second while rifle 3 is 4 ini with 3/4s cast time (ini is consumed much quicker with rifle)
  16. I said this too previously and I agree Off hand thief weapons have become boring We've played them to death and new off hands also have the possibility of revitalising dead weapons like sword and pistol (in PvE)
  17. Finals thoughts for me are as follows: The idea is cool, but are you prepared for the work that needs to be done only to make this idea work in reality and be equally enjoyable for all professions? Do you acknowledge that some classes will only need numbers tuning, while others need their badly designed specs to be revamped? I'm not ok with having this feature as it is now if Thief is going to be left in the state it is while other classes will see a lot of new builds and playstyles. I'd rather have this feature not added to the game until you put in all the work needed to make the feature equally enjoyable for all professions. As a Thief player, I've always wanted more build diversity, and this is not going to add much interesting in the current state, Daredevil needs a profession mechanic that is an actual profession mechanic, the rifle needs changes, Shadow Shroud needs number tunings to accommodate power DPS build (as it is now shadow shroud is a DPS loss with any power build), plus many traits that need to be changed/ moved/ removed. Are you willing to solve all the problems that come with this system in a way that is satisfying and respectful of your players? Is this going to be the new staple and starting point, to make elite specs "playstyle defining" independently from the weapons that are used with that elite spec? Or will the feature be added and it is how it is? Hopeful to hear from @Rubi Bayer.8493 and the dev team to fully understand your intentions with this system. Please be honest with us, at least we can temper our expectations and not set ourselves up for disappointment.
  18. Man, I really don't understand. It's clear when you look at Thief's forum subsection that everyone wants more off-hand weapons, but they refuse to add any. 11 years later we have TWO off-hand weapons. The class was designed with DUAL WIELD SKILLS as one of its MOST INTERESTING mechanics and it was ABANDONED. I'm so mad and sad.
  19. 6 new skills? that would be cool. We're getting 4 new skills (and one is auto attack) AA chain Skill 2 dual wield axe + pistol dual wield axe+ dagger Axe skill 3 without off-hand will be the classic joke skill that they don't want you to use, so that doesn't count. I'd like main-hand + off-hand axe too, but if this wasn't possible, at least I'd prefer off-hand axe which would give us 6 skills: Skill 4 Skill 5 dual wield dagger + axe dual wield pistol + axe dual wield sword + axe dual wield scepter + axe They really are doing the worst thing they could ever do for us. Weapon- master training is already a disaster for Thief, and on top of that, they're giving us only 4 new skills (if you consider auto attacks a skill lol)
  20. I agree, also because it adds variety to current main hand weapons we have
  21. Oh I see. In the second case only sword or scepter would be an option then, I really like the idea of off-hand sword, but... scepter? XD. Or maybe you talk about all main hand weapons and not only Thief ones?
  22. What do you exactly mean (if you're not trolling me xD)
  23. It's my dream since the announced they would add weapons with HoT. Idk if I'll ever see this coming true at this point ☹️
