  1. I guess that's true - alternative pistol is an option. It's just kinda weird that that i should even consider this after crafting legendary weapon . Kinda whole purpose of this legendary is flexibility with stats. Tbh considering gem price / build template Im gonna probably stay with secondary template

  3. Hi everyone. I came back after a break and can't handle new feature: so legendary weapons are not like regular ones and can't be stored in backpack any more. So how do you swap them in scenarios like fractals, where different parts prefer different weapons? I should use 2 different build templats in which they base on the same armor and trinkets and differ only with one particular weapon set? Or do you just pick them and refill infusion and sigils everytime you make a change? As a mesmer with legendary pistol that tries to use focus in offhand as well I find it really annoying right now, maybe you got some smart solution that i didnt think about... 🙂
  4. OP, as mentioned - check Geforce Now - it does support GW2 if u have your copy of the game. Monthly sub is rather cheap as well, so if this service improves then i'm seriously gonna reconsider PC upgrade. BUT so far it is not as smooth as i was hoping for. From my experiance (EU - Poland) if i play fractals i can run best settings possible (1080, subsample etc) with almost stable 60 fps. But if i go for e.g. tequatl and limit graphic do medium (nativ, shaders offf) i still play around 15- 20 fps. Plus i do have connection problems while playing via GFNow even though i dont experiance them playing directly by game client. So there is some work to do
  5. When GW2 was released i played it for few weeks. From GW1 player perspective this game seemed to be to casual and simplified. 5 skills on bow instead of 50 of my choosing? No way. So i left and came back from boredom reasons and tried necro. One day in wvw map i found out that one of my server teammat needs help in 1 vs 3 fight. I joined (tbh he carried us) and we won. Then i discovered that he was from my country and runs one of the biggest guilds of that time, so naturally i joined in. In the next few weeks i was doing wvw runs but i did not really understood what they were talking about on teamspeak. "water", "blast". Screaming like crazy people, wtf? So after those few weeks i asked them about it and then i got stuned. I ve been playing this game wrong! what do you mean field, finisher? there are combos in that game? Whaaaat?I dont really think that i was so embarrassed in a game before. Whole weeks of playing without realising those mechanics? The only thing i could do was to ask: so who is using those fields and combos most. And they answered elementalist.Guildmate1: "but just so you know. its gonna be a chalange"Me: -"yeah, i get it" (while in fact i was already thinking about race for my new ele)Then this happened:Somebody in the background: "guys, there is also engineer..."Guildmate: "shhhhh, don't say that to new player!"Me: "what?"Guildmate3: "nothing, nothing. Dont listen to him."Me: "what do you mean"Guildmate2: "engi is not using combos. He is a combo. But it's not like it essential. No one really needs an engi. Not in wvw, not in dungeons. Don't punish yourself"And that is how you become an engineer boys and girls. TBH i would like to swap my main but i dont see any other class with such diversity. I can literally send gyro to one place to help downed player, while removing conditions from other players in other corner while i break bosses bar + provide aoe blind + block projectiles from boss at the same time.
  6. Reward for dungeon is: money (1g for Arah, 30-60silv other paths) + dungeon currency and its daily. Additionaly if u finish any 8 paths you receive 5 gold + dungeon currency that you choose. So you can do 2 x AC, TA, SE, CoF you get ~ 3 gold + 5 gold = 8 gold. Those are easy paths that have active players but i dont think they will pay and share with you that 8 gold. Additionaly if they do that 8 paths they get 150 dungeon currency from dungeon they choose (e.g. arah, that they didnt play ). That makes 'selling paths' even harder. On the top of that final reward is mostly cosmetic - you get exotic gear while end-game content requires ascendet one. So yes, you have players to form a group but i dont think you find many of them interested in paying. Plus time wasted on waiting and forming group could be spend somewhere else. To compare: im new to fractals, doing daily t3 i do 3 paths . That give me 9 rewards. Not only the reward is higher (daily >4 gold for 3 paths) but i receive asc gear (piece depending on a stat (2 weeks gave me 8 pieces of armor + 1 weapon chest). While it has rng (lottery) the odds favour active players. I cant compare resources that i get but im sure that fractals give me more of them too. Personally i enjoy dungeons over fractals but the truth is: not only fractals give more rewards but they give it faster. So if you wanna max your income its better to focus on fractals. HoT and PoF made players more powerfull so even random group will clear and finish every dungeon path, there is no need for meta there, that means that 2-3 dungeon veteran will carry other players for free (like when sb fail while skipping)

Thank you for your input.From your experiance - Q1 - is it safe to assume that at least one support in the team = we stick to mai + dodge ?Q3: i don't mind ele in my team, i just wondered why there is none lately. Tbh i look for some fresh perspective as engi main and i was consider to play ele myself. But i got curious how come there are so few of them, probably community has some intel that i don't and it's safer to ask ;-)

I'll start by saying that i im not a new player in general, i dont have much experiance with fractals so far, but lately i actualy do them quite often (2-3 times a day, just to learn mechanics and different perspective) and i'm about 72 personal lvl so i will refer to T1-T3 fractals: So sorry if the question would be obvious but i honestly look for and answers and yes - i did check wiki1) mai trin fight. So far the combat was rather simple - we need to break her 10 point resistance by Horiks blue fields, we clean mobs - no controversy here. Guy with purple bomb will get hit by electric bubble and we need Mai at that spot. But what should i do when i see regular bomb icon above me? So far every time i did it (so t1, t2) me and other players removed ourselfs so others would not get hit. But few days i go in PUGs game people divided into 2 options. One mentioned above and second: we stick to mai trin the whole fight if there are no mobs (so yeah, we accept that regular aoe dmg). Any comments on that? Is it tier related? or we dont move if we got support player in the team? Or maybe i did it wrong the whole time? Is it crucial for the party if i remove myself from the group for that attack? 2) In sirens reef fractal, in the part when we need to take 3 coins to the chest very often i see ppl interested in taking just first 2 coins, then they wait at the exit. While i get that 1 or 2 guys might get the attitiude ' i done my part' it makes me wonder - what are the expectations when i'm the only one who goes backfor the 3rd coin. As far as i understand the mechanic - i cant do it solo due to the mechanic - it will slow me down regardless if i throw the bag or run/ dodge with it. Is it soloable for engi (or other classes)? I'm asking cause in half of the games i play only one guy (most of the times - me) goes for the last coin, gets slowed down, at some point get run by mobs etc - i dont see any skipping part or other advantage with leaving that guy behind. Or maybe i'm just unlucky with teammates? 3) im not fun about the whole 'meta' idea i get that its important to know and check from time to time what are the 'best' way to play certain character. And so far i was using metabattle to do it. But for the last week or two weird thing happens. I pugs with guardians / necros / engis / rangers / revs all the time. Now and then i group up with a thief as well. But in the meta section i see elementalist (recomended so i understand that it's a strong and usefull build) that i don's see very often (to be precise not a single elementalist in the last few days). On the other hand mesmer with wells / quickness and alac that is ranked 'viable' is in my groups regularly. So is there a reason why i dont see those elementalist any more? It's safer them to group with friends, metabattle is outdated or again - im just unlucky and there is no conspiracy here? thank you kindly for your comments
  10. drizzlewood gives you some mats, but it does not give you asc. gear, like Fractals, Raids or WvW does.yeah, but keep in mind that if u wanna estimate value of a thing you can take differents path to do it. One would be answering the question "how much mats would i need to craft that asc gear piece ny myself", but other would be: "what's the market value? How much others will pay me ". So if you are in a need for a specific item and it will drop for you then sure - it will be nice. But if you gather money for eg. legendary item, skin, blt company upgrades - that asc gear is in fact useless. Not to mention that daily rewards are like ... daily. So first hour of playing fractals might be much more profitable than the second or third. And that's also my issue with farming methods - they are keeping stream of money all day long.

  12. My few comments: The idea that you receive new content if you pay for it is fair. But there should be a new content in the first place. ESO launched in 2014 and already received 3 exp and 4th is on the way. WoW get exp every 2 years. GW2 had only 2 . So if Anet wants our money maybe they should come up with some product to sell?GW2 is in P2W model and it's not a bad one. HoT came with stronger characters (specs) and inventory than vanila. PoF was the same. We all survived that Anet in my opinion should stay with current business model without additional dlc that we pay for. I think that dlc model comes with some bad blood attitude where developers say that we CAN buy but no pressure, but on the other hand if you buy that OPTIONAL dlc with that dungeon (no harms right?) it will most likely come with some reward (like armor with some dedicated prefix) and how will we balance it? Im afraid that it will end with being stronger / more usefull so it will be aggresive p2w model so maybe its just simpler to say: you should pay for gw2 every 2 years.If they wanna increase player base they should really ask and make some research why ppl left in the first place. Abandoned content like wvw or pvp - ring any bells? Is this the special time of a year when someone from Anet come and say about this Major wvw update that they have been working for probably since GW1 Nightfall exp?
  13. Am i the only one who can't create new character? Can sb check if u got free char slot? (unable to get access to login server message) . I can play and swap between already existing heroes. / ok, after 10-sth try it finally worked.
