Currently my main is my beloved Revenant Charr but was playing a lot of Elementalist before that. Started the game with a Thief because back in the days, without mounts, having the ability to tp with the shortbow was a godsend. Right before the introduction of PoF, I ditched the Thief for an elementalist and never looked back. Until 2 month ago when, for the first time, I decided to give a chance to Revenant and it just clicked.

I had 2 necro lvl80 before leveling my Elementalist. Since then i never looked back, he became my main and he is the reason i'm still playing GW2 rn.Elementalist is one of the few class where i love both specialization. Tempest and Weaver are hella nice to play at PvE. Even core was fun during the leveling !I'm mostly playing fractal nowadays and it's both engaging and rewarding.Forget the dark side necromancer, join us and become an avatar of the fourth elements.PS : Do not use staff, their is weapons much more thrilling to play, especially during the leveling imo.

Race : SylvariGender : MaleLore-wise : Sylvari are not the best choice here due to the fact that they are plants. But with some creativity you can do anything you want. My elementalist is a corrupted Sylvari working only for himself. https://imgur.com/ITzFiO2

Race : SylvariClass : ElementalistGender : Male Elementalist is by far my most favorite class of all time in any MMORPG. I just looooove it. I choose Sylvari because male where pretty awesome compared to Humain. Despite that my favorite race is Charr and I love playing them. That why I also really like my Charr necro. But that's not even close to the Elementalist feeling playstyle.I think that Elementalist is misunderstood. It is not that complex at all and can be really resilient too. Never understood the critics.

I suggest you look into Mesmer too, with swords. It may also be to your liking.In most games, Mages are a hybrid of Elementalist and Mesmer.Elementalist is on the "unleash the elements" side, while Mesmer is more time/space/illusion/enchantment side. You just sold me mesmer. I'm gonna boost one with my remaining lvl up scrolls.

This is an appreciation post about this wonderful class that is the Elementalist in Guild Wars 2.During my last decade of MMORPG carrier I never played any Mage type class whatsoever. Playing a grown man with a dress casting long ass spells never appealed to me.With this mindset I do not even bothered to test the Elementalist in Guild Wars 2. I saw the basic Mage archetype and that was enough to discourage me.After a long GW2 break, I wanted a fresh experience and finally created an Elementalist.Oh boy. If I knew what this class was mean to be, I would I mained her since the beginning. I'm feeling like Aang in Avatar. A truhfull master of the fourth elements. And i'm LOVING IT.Having the choice to play with dagger, scepter or sword while having access to fourth elements. That's just perfect. That's the type of Mage i want to see.Their is something i think about often. How can you play another Mage type class after having played the Elementalist in GW2 ?Cheers to all the Elementalist main outhere !
