  1. Topic: Necromancer in depth look? before the 17th I hope! ;TLDR; After 8 years of dedicated power core since launch, into reaper, then scourge, and back to reaper. I have been wishing-no! moaning, and whining for a better ranged option for power or hybrid. We already have a 900 range power based weapon in axe that does exceptionally well. Staff leaves something to be desired as a hybrid weapon with no real benefit, and in my opinion needs a serious look into updating it's usefulness. especially in competitive pvp. WvW specifically* within the boon-ball meta. using scepter on a power build for scourge feels extremely limiting. Moreover I am very curious(concerned)as to how you have approached the shroud, or lifeforce mechanic this time. Scourge was not fun for me. With no real mobility, or personal defenses, one stability on a 40 second cooldown after the trait changes in soul reaping. and far too reliant on party support in competitive play with a very clunky class mechanic. I am very excited for more information on the only class I'm interested in playing. I hope all of you are happy, and healthy. -mac

Death's Charge does not "destroy" projectiles as intended. the amount of ranger longbow, engi grenade, and revenant one shot BS mechanics i've had to deal with these past few years has proven the shroud leap projectile block is not working as intended. Slide forward, destroying projectiles in your path. Blind foes at your destination. This skill inherits traits from Dark Path. low priority? no surprise there, necro has been bottom of the kitten barrel for quite some time.

Summary; badass patch Anet Folks, no complaints here other than "is Mesmer still a thing? aren't they going to replace it with Ritualist?;TLDR; Hi, Necromancer since 2005 here.Appreciate the solid attempts to bring diversity back to the class. I've been Spite, and Soul Reaping power build since gw2 released. Have tried many times to my detriment on different patches to develop a viable vampiric build (life transfer was the bomb). The signet heal patch was probably my biggest disappointment at the time with ever increasing disappointments to follow. Since reaper, and soon after scourge I have been in a state of contentment. having experienced the slew of emotions from seeing more powerful classes receive buffs, and reworks all to seemingly kill necros faster. So many of the nerfs reached an already broken, and battered veteran of the class. I for one support allowing shade skills to trigger in both locations - you haven't played scourge much, or you would know it's extremely easy to get locked down 1v1.forget about WvW outnumbered.Until the patch hits, stay classy, and try to treat each other with at least a modicum of respect.   5. I don't think fightmanders will consider taking soulbeasts, or druids. but, everything else feels spot on.I predict more gorilla tactics. (stealth bombing with rat-wells/bubble) I haven't … to my knowledge seen any fight groups running condi. maybe a few random PUGs who enjoy it more than burst. I doubt very much anything will change outside of less burst(1shot builds) and, I think has already been covered in this thread. so there you go, northing will change, only more thieves in zerg composition.
