Please standardize the Firebrand Mantra range. This 450 cone/180 radius is not fun. Please just make it 360 like most of the other classes. Thanks.

Related to this are the Elite Specs from EoD. You can tell the ones which were designed for pvp, and the ones that were designed for pve, and the latter are WAY more fun to play then the former.

So any hope of getting elite spec utilities to work underwater? It'd be nice if we could finally get the Jade Mech waterproofed, or have functioning wells and other utilities that aren't just hard disabled the moment we get knee deep in a bit of water.

It has been noted quite a few times that the character select screen isn't loading, however I wasn't aware of anyone pointing out that a specific character portrait wasn't loading. So, when it happened several times in a row for me, and it was always the same character's portrait that failed to load, well, that seems like a correlation (although as the saying goes, it's definitely not a causation). When I switched a second character to that outfit and then that character was the portrait was the one that failed to load, well, that was just another data point. I posted this information to see if anyone else had a similar experience, not as definitive proof that it was the source of the bug.

That's not my point. I'm saying that when I've noticed that that indicates that the error has happened before "I tried to load into a character". At least for me. It might be something other than the outfit, but so far, if all my character portraits load, I can change characters. If a character portrait doesn't load as the linked image in my previous post, I won't be able to switch characters.. And so far the only characters that don't load are those wearing the gem aura outfit. Only thing that I'm really suggesting here is that when people switch characters take a few seconds and see how many of your characters' portraits load.

Someone above mentioned waiting for all your characters to load in their portraits. I tried doing that as I was playing and I noticed something, when I get the error, there's always one character in particular that fails to load. To describe it better, at the character select screen, the portraits for all my character will start loading in from left to right. If that character portrait loads, everything will be fine and I'll be able to select the next character as normal. If their portrait doesn't load, the next 2 or 3 portraits will load, but all the others won't, and if I try to play another character I'll get the infinite load. I'm reasonably sure it's not the class, but it might be the elite spec (willbender). It might be something to do with the character's appearance (gem aura outfit). I've switched another character over to have the same outfit, but the issue hasn't reoccurred yet.

I was getting this issue last night. Things seemed fine at first, but when I was doing some farming and cycling through several characters it started to really hit hard. -repair didn't seem to fix anything, in fact, the repair tool hung 50% of the way through it's progress. If you notice a long load period, closing the client and relaunching seems to clear it, until you go to switch characters again. I decided for a hard boot, although I noticed that my machine remained on and didn't power down. I forced it to power down and after booting back up again, it was better at the start, but as I kept switching characters it started the long load times started to occur again. Edit to add: I'm on DX9

With the Legendary Armoury now live and allowing for items to be equipped account wide, I find I have less use for Ascended Gear Chests. One thought that occurred to me would be to have a merchant that would allow us to exchange them for other materials. The first one that occurred to me was Mystic Clovers, although I suppose other account bound items like Legendary Insights/Divinations, Pristine Fractal Relics, Ascended Shards of Glory or World vs. World Skirmish Claim Tickets could be other options. This idea would exclusively be for gear that you get as drops, not for the ones that can be purchased via Strike or Raid currency..

I think it's a great idea! If you can get weapons from basic PvE content, you should be able to get armour and probably trinkets as well. I've been playing since Pre-Launch and I spent most of that time in PvE. It's only with the change that stopped participation decaying (Nov 2018) that I got into WvW, and even then, it was mainly for a quick daily. It's only been in the past 12-15 months where I put a significant amount of time into the game, both WvW and Fractals and made some legendaries. If it wasn't for the events of the past year, I'd likely have a pretty barren Armoury. As it is, my armour is pretty well stocked, but if it wasn't, I would have loved being able to get a set of Legendary Armour that didn't require WvW/PvP or Raids and I think other people should have that opportunity.

Fixed for me. I was able to complete the collection this weekend.

Just to throw a spanner into any possible theory that the type of tool used makes a difference, I was using a standard orichalcum logging axe. Ah, well. I'm sure ANet will figure it out.

It's possible but so far it seems that everyone was using non-standard logging tools, and in many case, store bought logging tools. If the bug was specific to that phase no one would be able to get the item and many have completed this phase and have finished the next phase as well. It's possible that it was a result of the patch that changed the Djinn and it happens to everyone that unlocked the collection post-patch.

Question for those in the thread, what Gathering Tools did you use? I was using the Unbound Magic Logging Pulse. I was talking with a couple other people that were having the same issue and they were using an Unbound Logging Axe (the one that can be bought for Karma).
