  1. I find that they only pose a significant threat in long grass, or when your attention is diverted (e.g. While facing another foe). They deal loads of damage very quickly, but they are easy to dispatch.
  2. Been playing the game consistently for 7 years since the Betas , and I'm still here.
  3. Enemy type that annoys me the most, consistently, in memory is the Awakened Canid, since they can spam CC.
  4. Anet is making use of cutscenes in The Icebrood Saga, but generally Anet has in the past opted out of LS cutscenes for, IIRC, two reasons: 1. Cost effectiveness: It's cheaper and quicker to not make cutscenes. and 2. Opting to not make cutscenes means players can still get story fill without loosing agency (ability to control character, environment or otherwise affect the game. ) which is generally seen as a better choice to preserve "game flow".
  5. My concern is that wouldn't leave much room for the actual city of Dominion of the Winds, as it is supposedly on the archipelago, but I do have to say I like your story suggestion with the power vacuum caused by the Tengu's departure. Cheers. The feedback I'm getting here and on Reddit should hopefully allow me to formulate a much improved iteration of this map, which in turn hopefully catches ArenaNET's attention. Given enough discussion we could have a really compelling map to present to the devs.
  6. My only concern is that Claw island is quite tight for space. Reason I suggest a new island is because that would give ArenaNET devs more freedom to work, without having to worry about encroaching on other map boundaries. I do have to agree though, that I would love for Claw Island to become a freely accessible map. Your suggestion of having it attacked could work, and would be lore appropriate to the function of Claw Island. Just there wouldn't be much room for moving ships, which is part of the spectacle of the suggested map.
  7. They could make it so loosing maybe makes the sky go cloudy, and makes the overall theme of the map change a little, like loosing makes a thunder storm, and players start seeing the undead sailing the seas, that or have that as an option "style" for the map to unlock. But yeah, I can see that bringing a lot of traction back to Guild content and maybe even bringing Guilds closer together.
  8. Ah I see. A GuildVsGuild Naval warfare map would be quite cool. Sort of like the Safehouse in Payday 2, where it can be contested by Police, but instead of Police it's another Guild, and there is rewards tied to defending a friendly Guild Hall or capturing an enemy Guild Hall.
  9. I'm a bit confused. The map is similar in scale to Lornar's Pass, and is mostly water. Do you mean the North Island specifically?
  10. I should hope it's already in production. Assuming Anet has been listening to me. I'd prefer they take inspiration from the V.2 rather than the V.1 bike/cycle.
  11. Claw Island serves as a mainline of defence to LA, but Lion's Claw is an intermediary stop on the way to Cantha. It is thematically meant to be very similar to Claw Island. Other possible names for Lion's Claw could be: Lion's Grasp, Lion's Fang, or Lion's Tooth.

  14. Considering female Charr and Asura don't have breasts, and the sexual dimorphism for the two 'races' body types are less significant than on humans/humanoids, I think it makes perfect sense for male and female to share the same outfits. Firstly, if you like an outfit on one sex, you know it's going to look just as good on the other, and it means the females aren't given outfits with breast cups, which look super weird, especially on female Charr. Now where is that image of a female charr legendary armour.Like how dumb does that look. Also +1 to what Ashantara said above.
  15. Remember that Balthazar is a fallen god. Stripped of his powers and chained in the mists. The power Balthazar has when the Commander faces him is accumulated primarily from the Bloodstone and a few other sources. He holds little, if not, none of his original power.
  16. "Commander is a title for life."Okay, firstly: You replied to a comment from two years ago. Ya numpty. =P Secondly, The title is fine and all, but is not the focus of my dismay, more so the implications of the role. Retiring the the pact means we no longer command that force, and no longer have it consistently backing us.

  18. My Charr Main, Chimie Pepin [0], is a member of the Adamant Guard (Iron Legion). His Warband is part of a Foreign Intelligence Treaty between the Adamant Guard and The Seraph, whom share intel about potential and developing threats towards their respective territories. When a threat is identified, they go to the threat, instead of waiting for it to come to them[1](Not unlike the CIA irl), in order to ensure that Divinity's Reach and The Black Citadel are put at minimal risk. Because Chimie's Warband regularly works with humans they are not as indoctrinated with Charr beliefs as most Legion Charr are, so as to ensure there is less culture clash. As a result of this Chimie is not as motivated or influenced by Charr propaganda, or prejudice. Phrases like "One Charr" don't spark much patriotism in him. To explain his opinion on the matter best, I'll write it from his POV:"As far as the Flame Legion goes, historically they have been a significant threat to the Citadel, always being in close range to its gates, and always managing to infiltrate past entire battalions of Allied Charr. With the death of Gaheron Baelfire the remnants of Flame pose significantly less threat than before, but are still a risk that needs to be contained. With the new development of Flame Legion Charr that have vowed to rebel and make peace with the other high legions, this opens up new opportunities for contingency plans and the ability to further weaken the remnants of Flame. With the correct balance of military and political coercion it may be possible to finally pacify those whom choose to maintain Gaheron's regime. Allied Flame could fit in extremely well as Moles and sleeper agents, as they know the Culture far better than any Ash, Iron or Blood Charr could." So in summary: Chimie has little personal opinion on the Allied Flame Charr, but instead sees them as an asset, and a uniquely valuable opportunity to make Ascalon, and The Black Citadel safer. It is, however important to remember, as with any asset; trust but verify.
