  1. Depends on how you measure skill. The best way would probably be to look into GvG rankings and such. Or keep an eye on the currently ongoing GvG tournament.
  2. Or you know, doing the same thing that basically every other development company does? Pushing updates is always a risk. Thus most development and deployment tends to have a window after each update where they push out hotfixes. After that window they wait for the next scheduled update.
  3. But that would also require a build. Which is the whole point: They don't want to put out a hotfix for a non-critical issue between updates. It has nothing to do with being hard or not. That is usually how deployment work. You have a window after an update to put out hotfixes, if you miss that window you wait until the next scheduled update. There is always a risk to push updates, thus trying to avoid it as much as possible is quite common.
  4. If that is the case (which we know it isn't) that would mean that ArenaNet have the best coders in the universe, considering how stable the vast majority of releases are.
  5. It is probably more a case of not wanting to push a hotfix for a non-critical issue in between 2 releases, rather than needing the full week to fix it.

  7. Was it 4 automated responses to the SAME ticket or did you create 4 separate tickets? The fact that you think that they can just magically give you your item back within a few hours without actually investigating is baffling.
  8. I've lost precursor the legend. Dropped it couple around 3pm. The restore the data to 2:40pm so I didn't receive it back.Issue has been reported to support and only replies I'm receiving is copy/paste.4 times already. And they didn't even reply are they going to give it back to me or no You ALWAYS get the automated response first. Stop spamming support. Wait until you get an actual response instead.
  9. I was on when they went down and have got nothing. I was on every day before that too, I lost the previous 8 hours of ap grinding I was doing before they went down too. If you got NOTHING, that simply means that either you are not on EU or they simply haven't sent out your batch yet. Things like these are always sent out in batches. Really? I'm on EU I was on when it went to kitten. I also logged in after to check if it had fixed itself. It seems those of us actually affected are getting nothing while those that only tried to log in get given stuff. No one else I talk to in game that was on when the server bit the dust has got anything either, But those that weren't have.It is sent out in batches, just like every other time they send things out like this.

  11. Or maybe, just maybe, they don't want to stress the system more than it already is with sending everyone out at the same time? They ALWAYS send rewards like these out in batches. Yours simply haven't arrived yet. Or did you get the Bonfire but not the Mount Skin?

  13. Im saying, I stayed offline and "lost progress" just as much as they did. I then also wasnt able to play for 24hours- just like them. Ah, so not doing something is the same as doing something and then getting it reverted? Surely you did OTHER things during those hours? Or did you just sit around staring into a wall?
  14. So you are saying that losing 30 minutes should be compensated more than potentially losing several hours?
  15. Then they should get the communal bonfire as their "extra" not a MOUNT SKIN lol. So they should have gotten two communal bonfires?
  16. I get that people are salty that only the people who logged in between the Rollback and the fix gets the Mount Licence. But lets think about it. While it was logical for some people to not login during that time (due to risk of losing more progress, I for one didn't touch the game at all, considering this), it was never explicitly stated anywhere by ArenaNet that you shouldn't. And those that DID login on Monday are the only ones who actually lost any major progress, so makes sense that they would get something extra as compensation.

  18. Piken is currently Very High rather than full. So get your people in while you can.
  19. And yet, as of yesterday, we still had a relatively large queue on one border, and still had quite some people running around following our guild tag on another border. What is happening is the same thing that is happening every single time Piken is losing fights. Most of the server simply lays down on its back until the match up is over. That has nothing to do with server being closed or no link. It has ALWAYS been the case on Piken, even before linking was a thing.
  20. Because people don't really seem interested in a dialogue, but rather just DEMAND that they get what they want. And lets be honest, unless ArenaNets response is: "Yes we will open the server", people are just gonna lose their shit if ArenaNet responds, which won't help anyone.
  21. Which stats are those? Because as far as I am aware ArenaNet does not supply any such stats. Getting stats from thirdparty sites isn't especially reliable.
  22. The name is based on lore, not mechanics.Also, what do you think will happen if they start obliging all guilds? We would end up with a situation as we had back in the days before Linking was even a thing, with there bascially being a few servers that everyone stacked on, while most others where more or less empty. The thing is they can't just make exceptions for a single guild or a single server, they would need to do it for everyone, and that will just end up kittening up the whole system.
  23. To be fair the same can be turned the other way around: Why is ArenaNet obliged to make sure everyone is on the same server?
