10/March/22 2 PM PST/5 PM /EST Meta We ended up with the right amount of tail and bites, with more handslams which is far more consistant with other metas: if you are'nt paying attention you will down , otherwise ride the wave. We were able to get to our platforms and use our donkeys on the mini bosses to break the bar and succeed in a win. If you have a way to data scrape your fights , that's the RNG we'd like to see. Two tails, three bites, a bunch of handslams and normal bubbles/whirlpools.

Alac and healers, yep. Gotta burn the thornhearts and get what you can down while the wisps get to the top. Someone said the wisp phase is like a JP but I disagree; you keep hopping up until you get it, there's no right or wrong path.

I'm going to provide feedback here, too. Due to the programming, because you reduced the tail phase it brought back more bites as a filler. I'm guessing you have X-chance for Y or Z to happen and because you put acid breath/break bar on a lower chance it means that bite will go instead. Which it did- 8 times. I never had this "feature" in a prior event but I did tonight and it felt awful because there was no DPS or anything we could have done. Please look into the platform boss breakbars instead so we can burn them down quicker. If you're going to remove our ability to use EMPs then we need compensation. Btw? 300 breakbar damage doesn't tell us anything if you won't display the numbers and you're missing several abilities that work which have confused a few players who didn't know they had break bar abilities. Thank you.

We just did this and the bite "bug" is back , which I hadn't encountered before, and she chained 8 times. I have a video of it and everything. I would suggest going over that bug again and possibly reducing the break bars on the platform bosses if you can't fix it because at least then we can have a buffer if she decides to chain bite again.

We go again. Once people have seen the fight, the second time is easier and so forth. EoD hasn't been out that long; go do a search on the other end-game events that have dropped. Every time people are frustrated at learning, they drop the mechanics and then people caring about the content. If you fail you have to ask yourself why you failed. Then you adjust. You communicate with people who have won. What worked, what didn't, how to make the wisp phase quick. You practice your CC during the escort event and make sure both teams can make the breakbar limit on platform splits because we can't use EMPs. You adjust your build so you have personal CC to break the bars and give you more time on the main platform. You breathe in and out. People are getting their eggs in less time than they did on the Skyscale and they're getting them because they're working on bettering their mechanics and their awareness. Is that so wrong?

No. The community believed they were going to get the turtle egg with soloing and doing nothing with anyone else ala Skyscale that takes weeks and this event it only 2 hours. SO... Edit: For the record: I'm not "elitist". The fact you think we're elitist because of this is a shame on you. I've taken "casuals" and people with physical disabilities and we've completed it. Don't confuse your frustration with your ability. You could do it, too.

Please also read my feedback post for visual accessibility and clarity. I have helped 9 groups get their egg/do achievements and we have colour blind people who are physically unable to see certain mechanics. Please do not punish them any longer, thank you.

You've about boned yourself in the tail with this. Not only will you reduce the work we've put into getting people to do this meta and achieve it, you've now made it so those of us who do enjoy it will probably not have the players due to the fact it offers little to no loot for participants- especially on a fail. RIP!! I tried 😕 Edit: For those confused - I'm going to be really sad if people use their vouchers for the egg thinking they can't do the meta event. My group has helped lots of "casuals" and "noobs" into getting their egg. Even "hardcore" raiders have said they enjoyed my runs and feel they're a better player. I'm not upset at the vouchers for the egg- I think accessibility is important in this game. There will be people with legit reasons they can't do the meta.

Dear Anet; Thank you for this meta. It showcases the culmination of your entire game from Tequatl to Dragon's Stand, across the deserts of Elonia and over the Jade Sea. I'm really impressed with the sheer amount of technical work that went into making this meta. I do believe it's mostly accessible, but there's a few things I want to highlight. "Wisp/Soul Phase" During this phase the dark blue wisps are physically impossible for anyone on the blue-red or blue-green colour blind spectrum to see. Please consider making these white so they are physically able to perform this mechanic "Tail Slam Phase" During the tail phase with Whirlpools and Bubbles, both of which are obtuse mechanics. At this time we have people die on whirlpools and get back because if Soo-Won's breakbar is visible, we're not using it on Whirlpools. Similarly, bubbles have too high of an HP bubble, please consider toning down their hit points or increasing 1 damage. I should also point out that the telegraph for both of these are nearly under the platform, so again, anyone on the blue-green or blue-red colour blind spectrum cannot see these. Breakbar Numbers Why? Please remove the numbers and consider a simple "breakbar ability" text anyway. There are no meaningful numbers on any mob's healthpool or breakbar pool so 200, 100, 231 (??) is meaningless. You're also missing several key breakbar abilities that work but there's no text. We need consistency. Floating Combat Text Needs to be removed from the middle of a mob's head. It seriously impacts visual clarity and most numbers, again, are meaningless unless we have a meter installed. At the very lease, allow us to suppress the numbers. Rewards During any other long meta, such as Tangled Depths for Chak Gerant, we are given some nice rewards between check points. A lot of people feel they are missing out on an hours worth of farming in order to get a 10 stack buff only. Consider some nice checkpoint chests for people to loot. Contribution All of my successful runs has had an alacrity in each group. If an Alac is pulled during wisp phase it seriously impacts our damage. Please add a 2% alac buff so even if our Alac is gone, we're not completely out of our time limit. Conclusion You have really outdone yourselves! I have proven that even new players, "casual" players, WvW players, can absolutely win this meta. The same people who thought they could raid are definitely prepared to start raiding if they wanted to. While this IS a meta to end all metas and the culmination of all your amazing work, please consider a few accessibility tweaks for our fellow gamers. Thank you!

We have low intensity builds for anyone physically struggling with busier builds and a written guide to help remember stuff. Please don't think this meta can't be beat- it definitely can be!

Thanks for the mention although I'm a lady 😉 We've had 9 wins with the meta group I run, lots of repeats. If you aren't sure how to build something to work with the meta, we have builds and will take you to the aerodome to test them out and get used to it. Alacrity and Quickness builds are ALWAYS in demand. So are druid/ranger spirits and Warrior BannerBaes

Please don't use this thread to air your grievances. It's not the time, nor place. I have a special discord set up for this meta along with written directions and easy raid builds if you're unsure of your rotations or what's actually expected in a raid. All it takes is a bit of dedication and determination. Because I can promise you this: You'll never feel anything like you do when you complete it.

It's doable by anyone who will take the time to listen into discord for call outs and perform to their best. Tonight we had people from all walks of life dominate; they weren't raiders or involved in strikes. But they listened, followed direction and stomped the CC bars. It was glorious.

We have a total of 6 wins under our belt with more and more people getting their eggs and more achievements. This community has been awesome. I refuse to let a meta beat me at this game 😛

Ah I should state this is an NA server. I'm guessing we can't group with EU people?

If my eyes aren't bleeding by then yes. But if not, I believe that with so many people making headway you'll definitely have a chance on your first try, if not second try.

After some of the most frustrating run-ins with the Dragon's End Meta, I have successfully cleared the fight several times. I've also failed it. Those fails allowed me time to reflect and adjust to bring victory to my fellow gamers. This community has been absolutely wonderful about working together to get this done. We have ways. We have CC. We have alacrity. We have sub-groups. While I can't make a promise to always win, I can make a promise to teach, guide and triumph over tail-flail RNG. I will be running 2 meta groups every day until my eyes bleed. I will help you get your egg. All that I ask is that you are open to instruction, that you are considerate of others, that you love to CC, you love to move around and you love your rotations. Dragon's End Meta is the literal culmination of everything we've done in the game from base game to HoT to PoF with a dash of strikes and fractals. I can teach you, I can guide you. You can add me in game and send a mail if you're interested. I will let you know when meta's begin. If you are a "casual", if you have accessibility issues (such as being colour blind or otherwise) I can and will help as I've done for others. I can take you to the golems in the aerodome and show you simple rotations to boost your DPS. I will help you succeed and get what you want. That's the great thing about raids; you're always getting better. Even on the RNG heavier fights, we know X will happen with a possibility of 1 or 3 things. But you are right in that Soo-Won's RNG actually makes the fail, especially when people are understanding and getting into green circles now.
