  1. Yeah its not playable in this state. Zero use. The damage is garbage. Icerazor.... 20x 3k dmg over 6 sec.... to 3x 3k dmg with no time stamp for how long it takes.... feels to be about 3 sec because of the animation. The cooldown is the same so its just a damage loss. So its just worse every 10sec? This is gives 3 torment and vulnerability. If you're going strike damage both 1h sword and 2h sword gives vulnerability stacks so I would not use it for a strike damage build. 3 torment does not make me feel it is worth using at all for a condi build. There is other skills I would hit and spam before this such as shortbow skills. Does aprox 15% of the damage it used to do. Darkrazor Dmg was dropped heavily. Aprox 50% of the strike dmg. The stability is not instant due to the aprox 3 sec animation so you still have to really time it. The bar break is also not instant and is aprox 3 sec due to the animation. The stun break does not req enhanced but the tooltip is horrible and makes it sound like it does. Fix it please. We went from 6 sec to get the same but far more damage to 3 sec to get little to do damage and half the utility. Do not forget it has the same cooldown so now we get less every 12 sec. Why the prot on everything? We have a boon support spec on the same class.... herald. Why would a player use renegade over herald for prot? Alac dps is a option but the damage is garbage. Boon support with prot is taking herald. Why does the enhance not focus on more damage? Soulcleave..... It gets effected by toughness and such. I am seeing the tooltip say 500 lifesteal damage and 400 strike damage and the combat log say 730 dmg. If the strike damage was a bonus added to those under the effect to boost skill / ability damage so it could be multiplied by crit dmg then it could be useful but it really does not feel worth it personally. Breakrazor.... My opinion is that there is no reason to play renegade now. It is horrible. The cooldowns could have at least been reduced and not even that was done.
  2. The thing is..... you do not NEED 4 x 40k dps and 1 support to clear ANY content. Nor do you need 8 40k dps and 2 support to clear ANY content. It is just about clearing it faster. You do not actually need that much dps to clear anything. You also do not NEED alac or quickness to clear anything. Gw2 does not have a super high dps req other then players wanting to kill stuff faster. It is not needed. The stuff with big timers are generally meta events in the open world and most are def not in full dps gear. Many are just on skyscales shooting fireballs and rarely is there a problem clearing the events. Scourge offers a differnt style. You can get a lot more gutsy with your dps because they can easily just get you back up if you get downed. You can go really hard and not avoid a aoe that would 1 hit you because the barrier gives you the extra you need to survive it. It is a necro... it makes sense to have this flavor. It is just most want to avoid everything and never go downed. It is a different play style. I do not mind at all just playing like a zombie. Keep dps'ing hard with barriers stacked and if I do down just pop back up near instantly like a zombie. It is great for fights with tons of mechanics you would normally want to dodge. That movment to constantly dodge can effect the speed of dps. Players just do not always enjoy that style. But then players have issues staying within 600 range of a staff warrior to get the stupid amount of healing they push out and then complain when they die. Players also dont understand you want to be between a druid and the target to get the most healing. You need to know what style your healers is. If you play the way you would with a healbrand when you have a scourge. Yeah.... not going to be so great. There are times when everyone stops dps to run out of a aoe that will 1 hit them and a scourge just stacks barrier up and then instantly gets the 2 that had like 12k base hp back up instantly. Do not gota run out and waste time. Scourge is the best at letting you ignore mecahnics and keep pressure.
  3. Just talking about reaper as an example... Mobility.... Sword 3 double leap. Shroud 2 charge. Stability..... Shroud 3 single tap. Double tap it before its up so you can dot fear for a bar break burn. Well of power.
  4. Two bars of events was not lazy... yeah.... The story depicting a big war with 3 groups going for a attack from 3 sides...... We held hands and skipped along. WHAT in all hell was with the difaculty spike. Mobs go from doing no damage to the queen being like..... SMACK. She was not hard but holy hell did that catch me off guard. Why was everything else so easy. The elite guards where garbo. Weapons are great tho. Enjoying them. Warrior staff could still use some buff tho. I dont see a warrior heal being taken over a druid, rev or scourge. The mobility is super fun but it needs to do better at the healing part. Maybe a larger aoe would help. If we say that 1/2 of the 25 bucks was the first 2 zones and the new hub. This would mean each part of nyos is 4 bucks. It is def what I would expect from 4 dollars but why is the scale so small. People will pay more.... they want an option for more content. You can charger more and produce more and increase the scale. Its like having a customer say.... give me 60 bucks worth and telling them.... nah here is 25 bucks worth. Then when they ask why..... you just ignore them. Do you not want the sale? It is super confusing to why its such a low scale of production when you have a huge amount of customers wanting to buy more and open to paying more.
  5. With so much damage taken away now....... and so much healing pumping out and nothing like necro blood bank to really make use of the overheal on yourself.... It feels a bit of a waste. You can heal for a huge amount constantly but it really could use some barrier instead of regen.
  6. They are xpac content. Weaponmaster training and expanded weapons are xpac content. Much like elite specs and their weapons... or mounts in general. It is not basic conent of core tyria.
  7. It basically exists to blow up cc bars in pve. That is about it. Yes it is dumb. No..... none understand why a taunt skill was added to game with no "tank". Makes zero sense.
  8. They want to make soulcleave be used like ventari tablet. BECAUSE THERE IS EVEN 1 PERSON THAT FINDS PLAYING VENTARI FUN? Its anoying and has little reward. I agree that icerazor change is horrible. To me they might as well remove the skill. None are going to use it with that change. In that state its basically just 3 hits of torment. Imob maybe but most will break out of it right away or throw out a projectile reflect skill in wvw. Darkrazor is horrible. That cc is a huge bar break in pve. Just change it to chill? slow? something less anoying in wvw / pvp. Removing the cc spam removes why it is used in pve. These changes basically destroy the elite spec. None going to play it. This guy is a kitten joke. How is this cohen even retaining his job. Every patch just gets worse. Its degrading the game and making balance worse. It is obvious he does not care.
  9. Because dev's want what they play to be good. They do not care about anything else. It is obvious. Play what the dev's play or quit. That it what "cmc" has been telling us for years.
  10. Necro would be the most versitile. The celestial reaper is one of the highest solo pve builds for survivability and damage. Matched with celestial herald / vindi. You can also barrier alac scourge and be near unkillable in pve. However necro generally has bad mobility. Its the trade off for the reapers extra health pool and scourge's amazing barriers. You are a spunge not so much high mobility. Oposite of daredevil. You can dps with reaper and support with scourge so you're pretty set for group content like fractals. The big factor is the mobility. However I would also say it has the highest self survival in pve. If you want the feel of a classic tank.... you can get it from necro.
  11. Just do not want a power renegade? Current state allowing power alternatives and cc bar breaking........ Current state gives us some options for power builds. Darkrazor gives a medium dps burst and cc bar burn with daze Icerazor gives a large dps burst and max invul on target. Are you just throwing the idea of power renegade away?? The problem is that icerazors damage could not be focused on a target and instead of doing the damage to all targets it split the damage to the targets. It needs to be like warrior axe 5. What we needed is icerazor to be like warrior axe 5 and do that damage to all targets in range. Or even a max of 5 would be ok. Just making it so it does not split. This change to icerazor seems counter productive in what the skill can actually do. It is a power damage output skill. We have razorclaw for condi. Pre EoD This pre EoD used to be a fun but niche power build with battle scars to sustain hp. This could almost come back with scepter barrier swapping with dual swords or greatsword. We just needed icerazor fixed and it to be more instant with less damage but used more often with lower cooldown. This would speed up gameplay and give that nice burst damage that players could not just walk out of. This would be great for pvp. These changes would only make power less used. Barrier alac renegade? I do like breakrazor giving barrier. That is amazing. With scepter we could then use renegade for alac barrier support if this cooldown is short enough. Can we half the healing and barrier but have it be 15sec cooldown instead of 30 to allow for some error if an ally rolls out of the aoe? Lets us cast it more often but same overall healing and barrier. Cooldowns?? Are they going to be reduced? Will the effects being instant mean their damage output will be reduced but cooldowns reduced as well to use them more often? Thoughts? Breakrazor is great. I like having more barrier. Icerazor and darkrazor concern me about their damage going in the hole. This could be a huge nerf to the majority of burst power damage that was possible. Razorclaw is only getting buffed from the sounds of it. Soulcleave still has its problem of needing people to stay in the aoe. Looking at scourge shows how having 3 shades with yourself counting as a 4th helps to make sure everyone is in range of the barriers and alac. The problem with soulcleave is that it makes this far harder and on many fights very unrealistic. I would prefer turning the elite on gave a aoe on yourself. Allowing you to use a spectral mantle of soulcleave or something like that. The stationary effect of the elite just makes it really anoying to use. It is the same problem with ventari tablet and having to constatly move it around. This is just going back to that problem. It feels like any power builds are being ignored for condi focus when if you want more burst damage for pvp.... making icerazor and darkrazors power burst more usable would be the easy solution. Soulcleave still has the same problem. Reducing the cost does not change that. Prefer to barrier scourge having 3x shade + the character pumping the aoe barrier effects vs revs tablet / soulcleave. Players are not going to use it. Are we just going towards being able to burst stack a ton of condi like repaer?
  12. Are you aware that all the stuff from weaponmaster training is nothing new? It has all been in the game for years. They literally took what already existed and packaged it as new content. How would taking the core trait lines and making core builds viable and then smacking a tag like "core tyrian battle mastery training" on it be ANY different? You can use any weap regardless of elite spec vs you can use 4 trait lines instead of 3 if you dont use an elite spec. Neither gives anything new and just re packages what already exists. Not making a new weap or making a new trait line. Weapons --- let all specs use all weapons --- > add new weapons Traits --- add new trait lines for elite specs ---> open up use of more trait lines when not using elite. Basically the oposite path they took with weapons but the same end.
  13. Gw2 system gives a clear path to get stuff with 0% chance of failure. Gw2 system lacks incentive for content that is not the "meta" path for generating currency. Since you can get full ascended and then legendary weapons with gold.... it does mean content that is not the meta for generating currency does get ignored and skipped by most. Without boss drops or acheivments to incentivse that content being done many will go do whatever nets them the most gold. Fun only goes so far. If a player struggles for an hour just to get a reward that makes them feel like there was no real acomplishment from all that time and effort....... they prob are not going to do it again. That too is disappointment. There is a reason gyala delve is not exactly the most popular content. There are positive and negatives to the system gw2 uses. They meant for acheivments to offset the negative but it has failed to do so. Players burn through acheivments in the first couple weeks of the new content drop and thats so much for the achievment incentive.
  14. Yes most fractal hp pools are low. And yes this does make it boring since you can burn through ignoring mechanics and phases. Too low? No. The rewards are barely worth spending the time it takes to down the smaller hp pools and less trash. The increase in rewards for cm is not really that large of a increase to IMO justify the extra time and effort if I was to be going for -- most / highest -- value rewards for time / effort. You can get much higher volume and value of rewards with less effort and time doing other content. Sadly the "fun" aspect only goes so far because being disapointed by the reward tends to ruin many players feeling of "fun". If the damage scaling had not gone so crazy over the years and there was a proper "carrot on a stick" then you would get your challenge and your reward and everyone would love the challenging content with great rewards and call it fun. This is a side effect of the core problem.
