[Suggestions]QoL (Quality of Life) Ideas [Merged]
chripsy.1027 replied to ginryu.3026's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I like the concept. But whatever you do, never share your creative ideas with anyone on here again. All they will do is shoot it down. That's just what people like to do here unfortunately. Oh and look, you even got a little character assassination in there too. Nice. -
When I'm Lieutenant, I look at who is bringing the most value to the squad and adjust parties accordingly. If I see a Catalyst doing 5 times more damage than a Berserker, I'll give that Catalyst a party with support and replace the Berserker. I just find it odd that some commanders/lieutenants will only give priority to meta classes regardless.
-
@bq pd.2148 So we should prioritise all of the low damage players for support and leave the highest to fend for themselves, die a lot, and end up logging off.... Sounds great. The main point of my post is that some commanders/lieutenants refuse to give support to non-meta classes, even if they are at the top of Arc, which just doesn't make sense.
-
You know this is the WvW section of the forum, right?
-
I have no idea why you are trying to devalue what I wrote. There are non-meta classes in the squad doing up to 5 times more damage than some of the meta classes who have been given support, but they die frequently because no stab/heals. Some commanders and lieutenants refuse to give support to non-meta classes for some reason. Surely you will agree the highest dps (meta or non-meta) should be given priority so, you know, the squad has more chance of winning the fight?....
-
Dear Commanders and Lieutenants , will you please stop blindly putting players in parties with support just because they are a meta class and actually look at who is doing damage on Arc. Yes, even if that means prioritising non-meta classes for support (gasp).

Looking for a WvW EU Guild. Server: Skrittsburgh Role: DPS Availability: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. I'm currently in a Guild which requires me to represent it, so I can't represent another Guild.

Can someone tell me why the Phantasms aren't invulnerable while they perform their attack anyway? They shouldn't even need Distortion....

I play Mirage. The scepter just seems like a very substandard weapon. Let's compare it to the staff for example since this is another condition-based weapon: - The damage is better on the staff - The staff targets 5 enemies, scepter only 1...... - Staff gives multiple boons to 5 allies, scepter gives none In what setting would I ever use scepter over staff? Even having it on a second weapon set as an 'option' again, why would I ever want to use it over the staff and completely nerf my damage?...

Can someone explain to me how servers are matched upon reset?
chripsy.1027 replied to chripsy.1027's topic in World vs. World
Ah ok. It must have been a relink then. Thanks. -
I mean.... Wouldn't a condition damage increase be more beneficial than a condition duration increase? Most of the time you are capped 100% condition damage anyway, or near that. The +25% seems either useless or overkill.....

I am tired of being permanently CC'd. What are everyones thoughts on a cooldown on CC? Something like once you have been CC'd, you can't be CC'd again for 5(?) seconds?

Relics will reduce build diversity
chripsy.1027 replied to gkoogz.3089's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Relic of Aristocracy gives me +15% condition damage increase. So far that seems to trump all the other condition based damage relics which is a shame because I would like to have some diversity and do some build-crafting. -
Legendary breather would be great. I feel they could polish some other aspects of the game too. Like giving every food in the game an ascended version ( + endurance rate food has no ascended version for example). And adding stat selectable legendary infusions that combine the buffs from WvW along with Agony resistance. It just adds something else to work towards.

They need to either increase the base quickness to 3 seconds or give it the same functionality of Alacrity on staff (2.5 sec and each clone gives 0.5 sec). Sceptre would then be a very viable weapon for open world PvE and WvW roaming/pug groups (don't play PvP so can't comment on that).

First they nerf our damage. Fine, I can still solo most things. Then they make it so we can't dodge if we are disabled. Annoying but ok I guess I have to be more careful now..... And now they have removed our protection from the trait 'Mirage Mantle'! What are the devs doing?????

I do agree that we should become immune to CC for XX seconds after we have been CC'd. Elder Scrolls Online has this mechanic. Being pulled then teleport back to group only to be caught in a gravity well, and then to be pulled back and burst in to oblivion by a zerg ball is not my idea of fun.

Seriously. The damage of this skill is truly woeful. Why does it do hardly any damage?... Even with the 25 stacks of vulnerability and might, it takes me forever to kill elite mobs, and it took so long to kill a champion I actually had to leave I was so bored. In contract, Chaos Vortex on staff does very decent damage in comparison to Split Surge.... Why is Split surge so bad? I tried it with full glass canon gear and it is still woeful.

Although the upcoming update will address the low alacrity uptime by increasing the staff base alacrity from 1 second to 2.5 seconds, it still does not address the issue of poor alacrity uptime when clearing trash mobs or when clones are constantly dying for whatever reason. So perhaps to address this the devs could: - Increase the base alacrity generated by the player to 4(?) seconds without any concentration. - Reduce the alacrity radius by about 100(?) - Remove alacrity generation from clones completely. Instead, each clone increases the radius by 50 or something like that, back up to what the current radius is. This way we won't need clones to keep up alacrity, but the trade off is a lower radius so we will need more clones to increase the radius. Thoughts?
