  1. Had my guild selected in the alliance beta page for weeks, been placed on a completely different server to everyone else and the queues are not moving at all. This sucks kitten so bad, WvW is my favourite game mode, I'd like to play it with the people I've got to know on my server. This whole concept is just silly IMO. Reset night ruined (y).
  2. Banners have no justification to be replacing weapon sets when picked up. Just tried it and logged off. That's all I needed to know. Banners are dead.
  3. Hi all, this is my first major balance patch minus eod release, I've been really enjoying learning Berserker warrior in the last few weeks, are the upcoming changes going to affect the warrior's viability in end-game PvE content, or is it too soon to know? If it does, can anyone help me understand how badly? I never experienced the way banners used to work and banners seem to be a major sell point for spots in a group. I really don't wanna have to abandon him to go back to my guardian 😞
  4. Recently worked through GWAMM on my Warrior and decided I'd love to make my dude look like his original GW1 counterpart. How did I do? 5. Can this please be sorted? I'm tired of having to close the client every time I want to change character. Absolutely shocking response by the devs. Where's the fix?
  6. I actually learned this the hard way a few months back so no, I'm already aware of this information. I used the 1x recipe for 90% of my gambles and used the 10x recipe for my last. It was that last 10x recipe that came through for me.
  7. Hello, I'd like to start a discussion about how unrewarding the clover recipe in the mystic forge currently is alongside negative changes coming to Mystic Clover vendors in EoD. I believe it is time for the infamously unrewarding Mystic Clover recipe to receive a buff. First of all, I understand the desire and need to push the community to try out different game-modes, but this should never under any circumstance be a forced requirement for people to min-max the amount of clovers they get monthly. One of the things that has really drawn me to Guild Wars 2 and has kept me here is the legendary system. I love the way they look, the complexity of the crafting and the QoL bonuses they come with. I do not believe that Mystic Clovers should be spoon-fed to us for us that reason, but upcoming changes from what I have seen online are making them a-lot more scarce for people who are happy playing a single game-mode. Its nice to have the ability to gamble for them but I also feel that the Mystic Forge is ridiculously unrewarding in its outcomes. Tonight I have used around 90ish of my coins to get the rest of the clovers I needed, I received no more than 20 Clover's and I cannot count on one hand the amount of hot-streaks of straight up garbaggio (Gossamer/Leather/Orichalcum) I was getting. It's not a great mechanic, it's not a great recipe, nor is it fun when it costs on average six gold per attempt. I know the rich gurus will laugh, but I'm trying to come at this with an open point of view. I believe currently as it stands their are way to many losing opportunities in this recipe. The only time you tend to be happy with an outcome that isn't Clover's/Coins is when you receive T6 Trophies but even then this still works out at a loss - a manageable loss. Due to their being 8 trophies, that's still 8 chances you lose the role of the dice, and excess coins are still being taken away out of the game. I feel this approach is more balanced for the proposed changes coming tomorrow. Would it not be possible to reduce the amount of trash possibilities from the recipe? I think this recipe would be much less tedious if it didn't include cloth/leather/metal as a possible result. This would intern increase the chances of receiving a more desirable result without them being popped out like machine gun ammunition. This is a prestigious recipe that ties directly with the most prestigious of items in-game, I don't think it should be a silly game of chance going forward just because you don't enjoy x game mode. Let me know what you think, and please try to be open-minded.
  8. Still bugged as of November 2021, come on guys how does a bug this impactful stay in the game THIS long?
  9. Hello all, I've been playing the game for around three weeks and have levelled a Necromancer and Revenant to 80, I've primarily focused on PvE and world completion with my revenant and have been enjoying it so far specifically using mace/axe and short-bow condi renegade. Now, I've set my sites on the Warbringer legendary back as I think it looks amazing. Sadly when I enter PvP I'm struggling really badly, I'm not expecting to be a god as of course I'm new, I udnerstand the concept of dodging, watching my opponent and reacting accordingly but I feel my profession doesn't seem to pump the damage out that I'm receiving, even in 1v1's and its discouraged me from using my revenant in WvW, I specifically hate using the hammer as it feels extremely slow and clunky to me and I just don't enjoy it. I've noticed on meta battle that all of the builds seem to be focused around support play and I don't want to play the role of support. I don't find it fun at all, micro-managing buffs for others isn't something I'm very good at and its not something I want to get good at. I like to have a main character that I can sink my time in to when playing games and my primary focus has always been my own survivability and damage dealing. I have a preference for melee combat and aesthetics are a HUGE thing for me, the Heavy Armor type is what drawn me to the revenant in the first place. Now, when I look around it seems that all of the Heavy professions seem to be support roles only, well, according to the recommended builds on MetaBattle anyways. I have crafted a full set of Celestial Armor/Trinkets and Mace/Axe and Shortbow on this char so far and I'm using Runes of Tormenting with it. I guess what I'm looking to ask, is; Can anyone recommend a Heavy profession where I can just focus on my own damage and survivability in all content types instead of having to worry about supporting others? Should I stick with my Revenant or would Warrior/Guardian be a better fit for me? Thanks for the time.
  10. Because I had already been at this for a couple hours, I struggle with things like this and fell off a lot of times. Along with many other players out there. I was under no assumption that leaving the instance of the map would reset the progress on it as their is no warning. I believed that as long as I stayed in the JP area it would be fine, it has been for most other JP's I have done so far, consistency is key. Again, keywords if you'd kindly read - new player. I was still in the JP area and stood on top of my last reached checkpoint when I got prompted the map would close.
  11. Hello, I am fairly new to the game, I've been trying to do the Ember Bay jumping puzzle over the last day or two and today I set a bit of time aside to complete it. Midway through my session I was prompted to leave the map as it was going to close. I was not given any prior warning that I would not be able to complete the jumping puzzle when I reached the top. It's been stressing me out incredibly all day and its knocked me sick finding out Its not completed because of something on your end, i.e the map closing. This is incredibly unfair and I believe this should be rectified. I'm so frustrated right now and its completely changed the way I viewed the game up to this point how can something like this be overlooked?
