  1. Thanks to the team for being so transparent and open with comms and listening to what the wider player base is saying. Keep up the awesome work guys!
  2. My point is, where do you draw the line of asking players for too much? Sometimes I feel like I’m going for a job interview the way some players will grill you when you want to join their group. I get that a commander/squad leader needs to know you can perform your role adequately and it’s their group/squad so they can ask for whoever or whatever they want. I just think players shouldn’t need to fill an exact cookie-cut build/profession to get the job done. Which I know for most endgame GW2 content is unfortunately the case.
  3. To me it’s when you start forcing players to play a certain way For example If the game allows for a certain weapon or skill to be used, a player should have every right to choose to use it, regardless of if it’s the most efficient skill or weapon for the player’s profession. when you start kicking players for playing the wrong weapon or play style where do you draw the line? I understand endgame content is challenging and to win you need to play efficiently and wear the best gear etc but when players start enforcing it in non-endgame content it’s red flags. Anet is definitely partly to blame by making some play styles less effective over time and not giving players proper advice on how to best use their profession.
  4. Please ANet stop with the Elementalist nerfing because of the top 0.01% player base. Continual nerfing of a profession makes it less desirable to play and makes it seem like you didn’t properly test it before deploying the new profession. Stop punishing the majority of Elementalist players due to a minority group achieving high stats.
  5. Thank-you Anet for taking the time to fine-tune the Catalyst specialization. This will make playing Catalyst with the hammer weapon in PvE simpler, more fun for the player and more viable for teams/parties who require DPS options. In my opinion, more improvements should be made to the Catalyst specialization to further simplify usage for players and benefit for allies. For example,. apart from the hammer-specific issues, the Jade Sphere AoE combo field's radius should be increased, or set to follow the player around. As it stands, the combo field radius is too small to benefit larger groups and too static for fights where enemies move around. Changing the combo field radius will allow for more flexibility, fluidity and usefulness in a wider range of scenarios. A potential improvement that may balance better might be to increase the combo field's radius but to have boon uptime/effectiveness dissipate or decrease the further away from the center of the field an ally is.
  6. Hi Guys, Another Elementalist player sharing some feedback. To me, Elementalist is a profession that should be doing a large amount of DPS. Please ANet do not decrease the DPS output further than you already have.Since I play Elementalist as my main in vast majority of PvE / fractal content it hurts me when you give the profession a low base armor paired with a slow, clunky, close-combat weapon with few survivability options, along with providing mediocre support when compared with other professions, with an overly-complex moveset / skill rotation (in reference to Catalyst). With all these setbacks you should expect a huge DPS-providing profession but now you reduce the DPS further.A classic "Mage" profession in my opinion is one that is a ranged, "glass cannon" style that casts very high damage attacks at the cost of poor defense. It has always typically been a profession whose number 1 goal is providing the group with high DPS.Elementalist profession in Guild Wars 2 has been made into a weaker, more close range profession that can no longer be used viably in classic mage style, or any incarnation of what it used to be. So please ANet stop nerfing an already nerfed, irrelevant profession.
