  1. This has got to be the Single worst Map for Playability I've ever Had. But Anet continues to ignore player concerns and reports ( nothing new, just look at how they've failed to address the Boon ball issue in WvW ) Almost everyone at this point agrees the Map runs terribly. It is the single most clunky and poorly optimized location in the game. And Anet remains Completely silent about it. Refusing to even address that it's an issue and instead pretending that it's okay to continue to put out maps that are THIS clunky. It doesn't Matter How beautiful the map looks, if it runs Like burning garbage, it's not good.
  2. I've noticed that the new maps Run Extremely poorly, Despite not using More Resources than Any other map. Average RAM usage Non-SOTO Maps : 25-30% ( Worse than Pre-EOD Levels still.) Average RAM usage SOTO Maps : 40-45% ( Absolutely Ridiculous ) CPU Usage Doesn't Change between maps. Nor does GPU usage ( This is the thing that made me a bit Curious. ) Anet, You've Seriously Dropped the Ball when it comes to optimization . you Need to put someone on the task of making sure your game runs well. there's hundreds of people saying that the SOTO maps run like absolute dogwater.
  3. Bumping this up in the hopes that Anet will Soon address the Issue, or at least provide any means of " hey we're working on that thing we agreed is a problem" . Mentioning it in game gets 1 of 2 Responses : " Yeah I noticed it's been really bad lately " or " I Don't see any problems yet, What's Your PC build? " ( As if that wasn't already Checked into Oblivion and back.) And that's Kinda how it goes on these forums as well . Last Night I saw the Highest Memory usage I've Ever seen in GW2. Compared to an Even More crowded area Pre Gyala-delves patch.. memory usage was 20% Higher. Anyone pretending that there's No memory leak at this point either never Checks their Task manager / Resource Monitor , Or is straight-up lying.
  4. Probably ? I dunno. The Bug Effects all rev Specs IIRC But I haven't seen any revs in Raids/ strikes / Frac CM runs lately.
  5. I Haven't seen many Revs about in content like I used to I also don't play my own as much but That's because of a weird Client crash that happens when you dodge a lot of things at once as rev.
  6. Hey reporting in I can do the same thing On my condi mechanist
  7. Observations Post " Tweak " So , Pre-Tweak The Keys were the problem, with the rewards being, frankly, Absurdly good. However, the Minmax Strategy was to ONLY open the Ancient Miner's caches, as the Extreme Chokepoint on Keys made it unreasonable to even bother opening anything else. Post " Tweak " : The Same remains. The keys are ultimately Useless as the rewards from the Chests don't warrant even stopping to Open them. So the strategy is still " Only open the Ancient Miner's Caches , unless you have nothing better to do " Ultimately The Only Part of the map making the meta worthwhile is the Post-Boss Fishing nodes. which says a lot . It feels like Anet Said : " You can have keys, or you can have rewards, You cannot have Both "
  8. Unless they've fixed it there's a Bug where doding as Rev can Potentially Crash your entire client. As a class it's fantastic, fun , flavorful and actually valid in a lot of end-game content. But It's also Anet's Buggiest Class
  9. It's.. Because I don't feel like the details of my system mean anything if it's a game issue. My PC parts / Specs / settings won't help anyone here, especially not since I doubt many people are using parts this old nowadays anyway . And on the off chance someone does have the /exact/ setup I do .. the issue is still in the game, and not the Pc / it's files. I even run my graphics on /Lower/ settings than is recommended. So the fact that it's still eating way too much Memory compared to Pre-Gyala Delves patch is a fairly massive Red Flag.
  10. I've seen this hardcrash before a few times, too . Related to some " Lightning " particle effect. It only happens when I'm on Revenant so I presume it's ACTUALLY referring to the Revenant Dodge particles.
  11. Then Don't post here. This thread isn't for you, and you add nothing to the conversation
  12. Following A LENGTHY back-and-forth with the Support Team VIA a ticket. I'm Making this Thread so People who have similar issues can Sound out and Maybe get something Done about it. I know it's not just me , I know it's Not my PC , I know it's not my Internet. The Game has been Running Worse since the Gyala Delves Patch. For me, it's a Huge memory Leak in the game. Shutting the game off Brings RAM usage to Normal levels again, And the issue only appears when playing Gw2. For other people, I've heard anything from Graphics issues, to hard client crashes. During My back-and-forth We checked everything. Files cleared, Caches cleared , Reinstall, Checking pretty much every part ON my PC , Checking My connection, Firewall settings , Registry , and More. So , as I'm putting this in the correct Place now It's an Issue with The Game. If you have similar experiences or issues following the Gyala Delves Patch release, Be sure to get all your ducks in a row first, and then Sound off here.
  13. Thought this thread would include the hard client Crash when Playing as Revenant. Y'know. the one where you dodge in the middle of a bunch of Attacks. I'd love to be able to play rev again without risking a hard Crash in the middle of Content.
  14. See. I never even GO to the forums until all my Ducks are in a row. Me and the GW2 Team ( Via a ticket) Have tested Literally Everything and Lo and behold! It's a game issue.. which other people are now confirming.
  15. I don't know how much more precision You need. Do you want me to go back in time and Record the Better working version of the Game on my task manager? Then come back to the current day and Record this new , Objectively Worse version? For clarity, Average RAM usage in DR , PRE-Gyala update, was around 15% . Average RAM usage in DR , POST Gyala Update, Is around 25-30% This is Just Booting up the game and sitting in DR , Nothing Else. What did they change With the Gyala Delves update that Somehow increased the system requirements again, if that is your counterpoint? Point it out in the patch Notes for me, Since you're insisting that everything is Fine . Highlight it, even. The fact of the matter is, Memory usage is almost DOUBLE what it had been on average. Which , unless Anet Just really , absolutely Entirely Despises Functionality , Would not be an intentional Move. Many people are reporting Similar issues. SO I ask you how much more precision You need. Is a Horde of reports of similar problems Not enough ? Is Exact Numerical data Not enough?
  16. Then Allow me to be more concise about the phrasing of the issue. Memory usage Across the entire Game is 10-15% HIGHER than It was PRIOR to the Gyala Delves Patch. this INCLDUES activity in ALL ZONES OF THE GAME , Even Eod. This is NOT : - An issue related to my hardware - A bad cache or corrupted file - Somethign that is repaired when running the -repair suffix on the launcher properties. This Most Likely means There is a new , unresolved issue with the game that causes excessive memory usage What does not help is coming here to die on the incredibly wacky and tone-deaf Hill of " I'm not having issues, this is a You problem " When it is very much a decent number of people experiencing this issue, or ones with Similar symptoms
  17. The Crash Client Automatically gathers and sends the information off. As for the unusual Memory usage, That's something a Lot of Folks are talking about too . You can't Have a problem fixed when Anet isn't admitting there's a problem Dx11 Feels like it's Not even Half-Finished, and they're trying to Force everyone's client onto it. And you're just fine with that because it's not Bothering You Right Now it's guaranteed to in the future, but because you're fine now, You don't care. " Put in another Ticket, I'm sure they'll answer this one "
  18. ... So it's something With Evade frames on Revenant, seems like Since all 3 of my hardcrashes to Desktop ( weeks ago , And the 2 today during raids ) Happened During high-intensity Moments on Revenant , And all while Dodging / Evading.
  19. So it's both A Memory leak AND random Crashing ( I've had 2 of those today , actually. Both in Raids. ) And Anet just doesn't mention it.
  20. JUST repaired the game client, I've had this happen twice now Both time it failed to find a projectile Effect From " ViarU.pGPgw " Skill, I'm sending the reports in but this also happened a few weeks ago
  21. Also, If those of you who are just Troll reacting want to contribute literally anything to society at all, I'm welcoming suggestions. Actual suggestions, Not " Buy a new PC " or anything Financially related. As this is an issue with Anet's Coding. Maybe bumping it up so they can see they've botched something would Help.
  22. Yeah it's Definitely Got a Universal Memory leak now Beautiful Work Anet. Fantastically Done, really. I've spent SO long Optimizing things For Minimum system impact just to have Them Tinker around with Coding and Screw Everything up. My system didn't change, My settings are the same, the ONLY variable is the new patch in-game. Which , by process, Simply means Anet was tinkering with things Behind-the-scenes and butchered any Hope of optimization
  23. Not sure if this is a Bug or something else But I've noticed Unusually High Memory Usage in the GW2 client Following the Update. Pre-update it was normal to see around 15-20% RAM usage by the System in MOST non-EOD maps. EOD maps would cause it to sit at 27-30% And Not go back down until I restarted the game client ( Thus dumping the Cached RAM ) Post-update the normal appears to be 24-28% , rarely passing 33% , but It's definitely leaking memory somewhere, as about 5% of My RAM usage just.. goes unaccounted for when Adding things up in Task manager. I'm not sure if this needs looked into but I'm certainly documenting it in case it does.
  24. Especially By forcing People to upgrade or use a subscription service ( Geforce now ) To play your game. One of the major appeals to GW2 is that it's Free to Play, which means that people who are poor Can access and play the game. You wanna know what poor people don't have ? The money to go buy new graphics Cards. You're Kinda shooting yourselves in the Foot Here. Especially since there's a Lot of issues w/ Dx11 That have not been resolved or even remotely Addressed. My Card can run it, Thankfully, Even though It's So poorly optimized it causes Mass screen tearing with VSync turned off. Why? Nobody's answered, a few people say to go Buy a new Monitor ( Complete 4head answer btw ) , Some people say to go buy a new HDMI Cable for my monitor ( Still 4head) But there are a lot of people who won't be able to that you're Pointing at like " You, Peasant, You're too POOR for entertainment, Go Away "
  25. Obligatory For the people who Victim Blame : - I have Reset my Router - I have Cleared my cache. - My internet, and Gw2 connection , are Highly stable Any other time. However, Whenever there's a big Patch, the servers are Infuriatingly Sluggish For the next few days. Stutters, Rubber banding, Input delay Spikes, DC's , It has everything But stability.
